With their 20th title almost sealed

Which team will be next to follow Manchester United to a 20th title and when?

Currently the standings are as follows

Manchester United 19 (20th TBC soon)
Liverpool 18
Arsenal 13
Everton 9
Villa 7
Sunderland 6
Chelsea 4
Manchester City 3

The obvious choice you would think would be Liverpool as they only require 2 more, but its been over 20 years since their last.

Arsenal should be in with a shout as they have won the title over the last decade, but they really need to show real intent to compete for it again.

Only other 2 clubs with realistic title aspirations are Chelsea and City, but both have only 7 titles between them.

Another club will eventually get to 20 titles, but who and as importantly when,
10-20-30-40 years and more.

Which club will be next to 20 titles

I love Fergie, but people are inconsistent in their analysis of him.

They say he only wins do much because of money and then say he's carrying United and they'll be buggered without him.
________

Yeah thats a crap analysis of him. What I was trying to get at was there's no other league in the manager who gets instant respect from pretty much every player, young or old, like Fergie does. He can just about do pretty much anything with the Utd team, play every single player out of position and 9 times out of 10, he will get a result. Remember when he played the twins in midfield against Arsenal a few years back? Only Fergie can rotate so much and keep pretty much everyone happy and only Fergie can rebuild team after team without it ever looking like he was rebuild because he's still winning titles whilst in transition

Whoever the new manager is, yes he will have money but he will have the ridiculous task of following Fergie and it wont be easy running Utd when some players specifically moved to Utd because of their desire to play under Fergie. Not saying he was the sole reason but a big reason why some players choose Utd over other clubs.

United fall when Fergie retires. I just cant see it, its all setup to continue winning the league. Jesus, even Rodgers could win the title with this side.

I get what you're saying, but it all boils down to money. And United are top dogs.

People probably aren't aware that the debt will be gone in a few years and the Glazers will need United to remain competitive.

Yes Fergie does what you say, but you act like no other manager could get United dominating, which is false.

The rotation thing is valid, and it's down to Fergie that United are still able to win.

However, many United fans have problems with Fergie's policies as it's having a massive effect on team and the football we play rather than the squad.

Another manager may come in and improve this aspect and make us better than we are at the moment - especially if they're backed with a lot of money.

Let's say we get Pep - he'll change this and make us play amazing football and attract players on the basis that they want to play for him, play that type of football and play for United.

This may sound like I'm not giving Fergie enough credit, it's not, I'm jus fully aware of all the ins and outs of United and know we are perfectly placed once he retires.

Why would he need to buy, United keep churning out great youth players. He will attract a certain type from all over teh world to United.

Fell, in fairness, we don't actually keep churning out great youth products.

There are a few coming through that looked talented, though. Whether they'll get the chance or make it into the first team is another thing.

Maybe Pep would help improve the youth set up?

These are hypotheticals, so we just do not know.

But I fail to see how United will fall away once Fergie goes. There's actually a thread on the United board saying we could end up like Liverpool.

Which great youth are United churning out? Evans, Welbeck and Cleverley are the only one's I can think of and they aren't exactly great, of course the potential is there but that's all it is at the moment.

They have played a very large number of games, cost nothing and are part of a team walking the league....yeah, I would love those average players at Everton

This is an interesting article and it's more likely United well hit 30 before anyone else hits 20. I can see city, Chelsea and United getting the share of the next ten years titles with possibly arsenal or Tottenham sneaking one in that time.

we should be putting two stars on our shirt from next season in recognition of this momentous feat
