With their 20th title almost sealed

Can't see Liverpool winning it under their current owners or manager for a few years, Arsenal have a stingy board and a past it manager.

I think that Liverpool will get there eventually.

Football has always worked in cycles - ours has unfortunately been longer than expected but we're still there abouts after all this time.

United will get to 40 before any other club get to 20

City have more chance of getting their before Liverpool

I can see Manchester United winning on average a title every other year at least for the foreseeable future.Liverpool to me have to have a change of owners to have any chance and Arsenal need direction.

To me it could be 30 years or more before another club reaches 20 and by that time United could be on 35-40 titles be then.

I honestly think it may not happen in my life time.

Liverpool will get there before Chelsea or City but it may take 20 years.

Depends on how FFP will be enforced

Personally, I see Liverpool doing it first however I will say United haven't got there yet

Well as a betting man, I'd have to go with Liverpool, the odds are very much in Liverpool's favour. Arsenal as an outside bet.

at the moment and maybe for the next 5 years I can only see 3 teams in with a chance of winning the league. Man utd, chelsea and man city.

I would guess at 10-15 years before any team comes close. I can be sure it wont be us!

Would be nice to hit double figures before Liverpool get 20!

Chelsea if the Russian stick around and quits firing the managers (puts his money up but doesn't get involved in the game itself)
City will always be overshadowed by United (fan-wise)
Liverpool have had their day and will be lucky to stay in topclass ratings.
Nothing else in sight...seems Arsenal just don't want it!

Logic would suggest Liverpool.

Chelsea need 16 title, City 17 and Arsenal 7.

It could take 30-40 years for one of those to achieve it, but then we could say the same about Liverpool.

Liverpool definitely.

They are still a massive club, and if they were to get owners in like other clubs have, then they would be a hugely attractive option to many top players. Huge wages, plus a rich history is very difficult for top players to turn down.

United will probably get to 30 before anyone else gets to 20.

Interesting article.

I'd say Arsenal myself. Everything is set for them to achieve this.

Liverpool next club to reach 20

However I wouldnt say it would be the start of a period of dominance for them... I think atleast 4 could be challenging for the title once Fergie retires. Its difficult to predict though. Arsenal look like they have everything in place for domination, City have everything in place too. We have the ongoing managerial problems, Utd will always be there or thereabouts. Liverpool still rebuilding. There's just too many teams to consider nowadays. So much money involved as well. Everyone wants the same thing but there can only be one winner. If i were to be pushed on a team that could dominate after Fergie goes, Id have to say City though..

How long could it take for Liverpool FC to become serious title contenders again? That's IF they ever become a serious contender.Income wise United are way ahead,so are Arsenal.Chelsea and City bring in more income than Liverpool and even Tottenham are now matching Liverpool in revenue.

Look at Sunderland,6 titles so they were once a club that were big contenders for titles, but that's history now.

Same goes with Everton and Villa.

Contenders for the foreseeable future are United ahead of City then Chelsea with Arsenal a distant 4th.Anyone outside those 4 atm are not contenders for the title

i know it looks like right now Arsenal are nowhere near challenging but you have to take into account that they could have that Russian takeover from Usmanov who could attract a younger manager who starts splashing the cash they've got stored up and combine that with everything else they seem to be doing correctly off the field, they dont seem such a bad choice as the next dominant team

What do Arsenal have in place to dominate? I keep hearing this but I'm really struggling to see what.

If I was to pick a team to dominate after Fergie retires if have to say Man United.

Might sound biased but United will get a top class manager, he'll have a very good squad of young player's and plenty of cash.

A lot will depend on how FFP is implemented. In a few years United will be debt free and nobody will be able to compete financially - that's unless City and Chelsea find loopholes, which they probably will.
