Weston v Bristol City

Well that was a waste of £13 for me & my son. We started off brightly passing for about 5 minutes then hoof ball. Weston put out a strong side full of hungry players wanting to Impress and they done there manager proud. There passing tackling & work rate was impressive and ran circles round us for large spells of the game. Nicky Hunt well looked more like a mascot for the Weston burger van. Lee Johnson didn’t do much wrong his long passes were accurate and good to see Yanick looked sharp & Joe Edwards was played upfront rather than in defence the young goal keeper for us the other Louis Carey made some impressive saves & looks very confident in goal apart from 1 small mistake gifted them there first goal. Christian Ribs looked sharp fast strong until the dyeing minuets when he picked up the same groin injury that’s plagued him for last couple of seasons & limped off with 1 min to go. I think Yanick got a yellow card for a soft challenge and the game ended 2 - 1 to Weston. The best bit about the game was when I asked a steward if we could go out at half time to have a smoke he said why would you when you can smoke anywhere in the ground I just laughed. Bobby Reid who I thought would of played wasn’t even on the bench so I’m wondering if he will be on the bench for the first team on Sat he has impressed me the most pre season so far...
All in all a boring game from us but some great players Weston have specially there number 9 hungry fast strong & confident Keith Millen watch this young lad...
