I dunno if it's just me but i am not actually that fussed about this season finishing soon. Normally i dread the end of the football season but this time i'm pretty much glad it's nearly over.
Now please don't take this wrong but i am putting this down to not enjoying how Man Utd are playing this season, i just don't enjoy watching the type of football we are playing.
I admire the fact we've won 26 out of 32 games and pretty much sealed the title on weekend. But i can't say i have enjoyed watching the team this season, only a couple of games i've thought "wow we played well" but mostly we are just effective and get the job done.
Some people winning is everything, but for me i like to enjoy football and i'm just not enjoying Utd at moment.
I don't think i'm speaking out of turn or acting spoilt in what i've said, and wonder if anyone else agree's with it ?
I'm not enjoying this season as much

10/11 title win wasn't a vintage Utd season either, we had a shocking away record, what was it....6 away wins all season? Only felt great because we overtook Liverpool's 18 league title record.

It's not rubbish Greg. Yes RVP has missed chances granted however we have hardly created a host of chances for him

There are a few things that need looked at. Are RVP and Rooney the forward partnership that we really want at the club. I would hope yes, and I hope that next season they are given a real chance to gel together, because they've only played together in fits and starts.
After a niggly first season, I hope Kagawa gets more games, perhaps playing behind the front 2, to show his creativity and how good a player he can be.
We need a really top class CM to play alongside Carrick. Anderson doesn't cut it. Jury still out on Cleverley. Having a Fletcher back from 3 years ago would be helpful but I can't see that either.
If we are to be tactically variable, then when switching from the above 3 to more wing-style play, we need to play with one up front and 3 in midfield with 2 widemen. This will hopefully allow us to dominate the midfield and create more space and chances for the wingers to exploit. The wingers need to do their bit also of course, but it helps if we can give them decent oportunities to make crosses from, and not just give them a pass on the halfway line and hope they can beat a couple all the time. Our movement off the ball against the top teams is fairly poor, everyone always looks static, and I think this is where we are being let down.
A decision needs to be made on Nani. Personally I would let him go, forget about what he did a a few seasons ago, you can't live off that forever. Valencia's hard-working nature and versatility just let's him stay, and I would keep Young also. And of course we don't know how Zaha will turn out.
Yesterday's match seemed to sum us up - we were decent, didn't look like losing, but didn't create loads of chances either.

I'm loving the fact that the Gôons are growing restless now Utd are closing in on No20, they just can't help themselves.

To be honest I don't think it's our performances that have made this season boring. Remember the first half of the season when we would also concede and then have to come back? those games were hardly boring.
I think the season has become stale because firstly we have pretty much wrapped up the title already and secondly, we are out of the Champions League and the Fa Cup so we really don't have anything to play for anymore this season.

I've given up on us playing anything entertaining at the moment as I want to enjoy the title victory if it does come. Let's face it, winning the PL back from City was priority number one and we are close to actually achieving that
Although our football of late has been an absolute bore fest, My local went utterly ballistic when RVP scored the pen. The football we are playing is not going to tarnish the title for me whatsoever but I seriously hope we can get a ouple of players in this Summer so we can get back to playing a far more entertaining style of football next season.
Although I am a massive advocate of wanting to be entertained, at this stage of the season, I just want to see u get over the line now and look forward to next season
If we can win it early, and winning it on Sunday wouldn't be a massive shock tbh, then hopefully we can see a few fringe players getting a few games and one or two reserves getting 10 minutes here and there.
Chin up guys. Let's not tarnish the title because our football is like watching paint dry. At this stage, it's now about winning.

I can't wait for the season to end. From a Utd fan's perspective it has been horrible to see my club play worse football than Stoke City.
Winning the title this way is worse than what Graham did with Arsenal

Sir Alex used to say that winning isn't enough, you have to do it "the United way." He hasn't said that for a number of years now and I think that's because we are playing in a manner which is very un-United like. We are a hard working, grafting outfit and ruthlessly efficient. But entertainment is not something we are providing at the moment. Football is a results business though and we can't be faulted in that area.

Am I right is saying that we only had 3 shots against Stoke? I'm sure I read that stat...One of which was a pen and another a scrappy toe poke. Ruthlessly efficient, yes, but an entertaining 90 minutes? Hardly. I can accept that on occasion but it has become the norm and it's impossible to ignore that fact despite the points tally.
