out of interest what did people here think of Schumacher back in the days he was battling it out with damon hill ? did you think he was one of the best drivers ever, or did you think he was a cheating <surf> ?

Jpb, thought he was a amazing driver but wasn't a fan. Accepted his talent just not some of his antics and what Ferrari got up to.

i dont think any of us had a computer back in 94 and 95 when hill and schumacher were going at it jp and i dont think there was even any sport forums that anybody could post on even if they did have a computer -

from my own recollection the country was very fond of hill and the tabloid papers were full of stories of what an unsavoury character schumacher was so very likely alot of half wits in this country believed everything they read in there tabloid chip wrapper --

JPB, I thought Schumacher was far superior to Hill and he's still one of my favourites.

I also do not believe Mansell or Hill are great drivers.

On the current grid, I'm a fan of the following drivers; Alonso, Hamilton, Kimi, Hulkenberg and Rosberg. I also like Bianchi and Grosjean

I do not rate Button, Di Resta or Chilton however according to martial, I'm bigotted because I'm english. That is what his post implies simply because I do not believe Vettel is superman.

It's funny how I'm bigotted considering I'm half italian and look more italian than english

Mansell's one of the best ive seen I reckon. Fast and fearless - brilliant driver.

probably the unluckiest sportsman ive ever seen mansell. could have easily won 3 or 4 titles against senna and prost but was cursed with bad luck.

Clark lost 2 championships in the last race, one of which was on the last lap!

He should have had 4 in a row, but the Lotus was very frail. Nobody else could win with them.

Very true.

Colin Chapmans cars were death traps and he did not care about safety of his drivers.

Very few drivers were willing to drive his cars.

Any driver that did should be included in the list of "great drivers".

Unfortunately, people are convinced that Vettel is great without making any attempt to actually study the sport.
