Hello my fella Spurs Fans!!
Been a while since i've posted on here but now we are at the business end of the season and some of our "Top" players have been in and out of selection due to injury or otherwise i thought i'd give my opinion of events.
Certainly this last few weeks I have found myself with a cheesy grin when Big Tom has come on the pitch and continued to show his ability to knock the ball about.. 30,40 and 50 yard passes to feet like he plays week in week out. I for one would rather see this display of passing perfection and defensive midfield bullying than watch Scott Parker run round in circles like a dog looking for a warm place to lie down!!!
We are obviously missing Sandro, and with Ade not showing up for games in attack, it seems our midfield relies too heavily on the Majestic Mr Bale and Mr Lennon to cause problems. Of course Dembele does a shift but I see far too many stray passes and fouls committed which quite frankly could turn a game into a fight with 10 men, maybe he's too predictable or just a big clumbsy.
So your thoughts guys n gals.
Big Tom week in week out.. or Scottie.???
Huddlestone .. First choice over Parker?

Sigs, Dempsey and Lennon can battle for the other inside forward spot. Bale and Defoe would be nailed on starters for the front 3.

I love the way Holtby runs.. problem is i see to much running and not enough end result. A glimmer of hope sometimes but i hope he does develop into a better player, and not just another hopeful!

It's different from the German league, he's still adapting (as is Podolski)

The way Holby runs at the By line i keep thinking weve recruited Walcott...

Ive widely criticised AVB's subs but i have to agree he got them ones spot on, even though i was a bit miffed when he took off a striker for a striker when we were still 1-0 down.
But you have to give credit where its due when it works. I'm never too ashamed to put my hands up & say well done...

Holtby's pass to Defoe against Man City was classy. He could do that regularly from centre mid. He has more energy than parker with a slightly better end product

I was also miffed when he did the striker for striker swap, me and my mate (also a Spurs fan) were scratching our heads and thinking why didn't he keep Ade on with Defoe. But i'll be the first to say Ade played poor and Dempsey was the more sharper one, hence keeping him on.
Also when I saw Hudd come on, I though AVB had lost the plot! But man that turned out to be a great move

I still maybe think Defoe should have come on before he did, but the subs had the perfect impact & if you cant give credit in moments like that then you're not a true football fan in my book.

Why should Defoe have come on earlier?
Sometimes changes are too early and disrupt fluency.
The fact they all came on and changed the game in 7 minutes shows that AVB timed his substitutions to perfection

Parker cannot continue.....he is doing nothing wrong, he is just limited and our attacking capabilities are hamstrung by his 10 touches before passing.
You can count the amount of times he plays a first time pass in a game on one hand.
If you watched how City moved the ball around first half....if you remember that chance they forged when Nasri was clean through and rolled it just wide...you can see that simple first time passing with good movement from others is essential.
What are the attacking players meant to do when parker gets the ball....stand around and wait until he's finished going round and round before then making a run......Parkers 10 touches stunts the movements of other.
I'd rather Parker comes on to sure-up a game rather than Hudd coming on as we chase a game
