Who are gooners so bitter over RVP?

It doesn't really make sense. He wasn't getting any younger and he was getting to a point in his career where he needed to compete and win medals. Stop the whole 'he left for the money' nonsense. He left to win trophies and a player of his caliber deserves it.

Some say he had 1 injury free season and then left. Would you have preferred it if he had left the season before it a lower value then? Or maybe you would have preferred him to stay one more season and leave on a free? You didn't really expect him to finish his career at Arsenal did you?

I've heard some gooners call him a terrible human being. Are you mental? He's one of the most humble footballers on and off the pitch.

If it was like Gotze moving from Borussia to Bayern, then I could understand the anger. A boyhood Borussia fan joining their biggest rivals. However, Arsenal are not and have not been in competition with Utd for quite some time now. It was also interesting to me that Gotze wasn't booed which says a lot about the different in class and respect between Arsenal and Borussia.

Arsenal fc let RVP down with their constant failures and he decided that it was time to move on

I find it amusing united fans taking morale high ground over a sick comment about a player getting injured after the applause and comments after Roy keanes pre meditated assault on Haaland.

Have I missed something?

The only thing i dislike about Tevez is how he bad mouthed Utd and Fergie and the players after he left, and generally acted like a moron.

You can't say the same for RVP he has been very respectful of his old club.

Personally I think that Arsenal would have won something this season if RVP had stayed, maybe even the title. I say this because Arsenal's biggest problem this season has been the attack- not punishing teams and squandering chances. A world class striker (like RVP) would have solved this problem. All hypothetical now of course.

Ok mate, yeah you may have a point about RVP, but even if he had stayed i doubt very much you would of been up there for a title challenge, because over the season Arsenal have had issues in most area's not just up front

But if you look at the statistics, there's nothing between Arsenal and United defensively. With the signing of Cazorla and return from injury of Wilshere, Arsenal are also much stronger in midfield than they were last season. Admittedly GK has been a problem position, but I'd say that there and up front are the only areas where United are significantly stronger than Arsenal.

You're overrating our team. Utd are better than us in every position. Only Santi Cazorla would get into your team. Javier Hernández who is your 3rd choice striker is better than any of our Forwards.
