I do think that the kick off time for the F.A. Cup Finial doesn't take into account how far both sets of supporters have to travel. So lets take a look at timings
The kick-off is at 17-15hrs so 1/2 time is round about 18-00hrs, providing that there is no serious amount of injury time. So 2nd half kicks of at roughly 18-20hrs so at about 19-05hrs the 2nd half should finish allowing 20mins to get everything ready for the presentation maybe even longer you will be lucky if you're out of the ground by 21-00hrs now allowing another good 30mins or longer to get out of the car park so that should take it roughly 22-00hrs before you're on your way . Then that just leaves another 5 to 6hrs by coach to travel back home to either the Etithad or DW stadiums so you're talking about arriving home at 3-00 or 4-00 o'clock in the morning.
This is all about generating money for the FA and not about the football fans at all, because if it was they would have had the kick off at the usual starting time of 15-00hrs. As for them saying that it is so football fans can watch the game on the television why are there no prem games schedule for that Saturday at all.

with Man City having sold well over 31,000 tickets for the Cup Finial just wondering how many Wigan are going to bring down and if they have sold their full allocation of 21,000+

after the Champions League final a couple of years ago it was an evening kick off (7:45 I think) and I was back in Manchester in the pub for last orders. The guy I was with did drive like a nutter and the land lord did "extend the hours" a bit for our benefit but it wasnt all that late. Of course, the Barca fans werent heading the same way.

Cheers, I may take you up on that.
I'm hoping that the 2 lads who I go to home matches with get tickets as we'll have enough for a car full then but as it stands it was either go a a bus of drunks, drive on my own or go on the train so I bought a ticket for the latter before they moved the time back and spent a further £34 ammending it to a later train.
