Alex Mcleish

It's ok don't panic he's not our new manager.
He was on soccer AM this morning and they obviously asked him if he had applied for any of the vacant managerial positions, he was very coy with his answers but he said he wants to manage in England rather than anywhere else.
They put a list of teams up who are managerless at the moment and i can only see him coming to us, Sheff Utd or maybe Millwall.
Should we be worried ?
Personally i don't want him but he came across quite well in the interview and blamed his move from Forest on him and the owners having different visions for the future of the club ???
Would he welcome at Wolves ??

WITSS, I'll wager that the majority of the fans that post on here that are based in the UK go to games. I'm sure they outnumber the three from across the pond.

The trouble is, you always say you want to hear from someone who went to the game, then discount all the opinions of people who have a different opinion to you and acknowledge the one that agrees.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^

This in spades.

The fact is that nobody that actually goes to games could possibly have the same opinion as front legs, and about the only other poster that never goes to games in back legs.

So, it's no coincidence that he is the "one" that agrees.

Bit of an overreaction I think there guys. Crikey is quite reasonably saying that the results are much more important than the football played if don't you watch a lot of games. What's wrong with that?

How about unfair and untrue.

Sorry Ulli, I genuinely don't get the issue. Can you explain it rather than reiterating the annoyance from the other comments?

The way I see it, we all have different parts of the club that matter more to different people than they do to others:

If I can walk to the ground from home, I care much, much less about the car parking facilities than someone who needs to drive in and park at the ground for health reasons.

I don't use a wheelchair. I still want facilities for wheelchair users to be excellent but it certainly doesn't affect me in the same way it does them.

If you don't drink, the wateriness of the pints means absolutely nothing to you. likewise the meat content of the pies to a vegetarian.

How is this different to a fan who sees every game wanting good football and passion from the players first and results second and a fan who avidly follows results but doesn't see any or many games caring more about the results than the style of football played?

I don't see how anybody could possibly dispute these things? Hence not understanding what the issue is...

I object to the constant and completely unnecessary references to puppet's disability and wheelchair use.

I had no issue with the point made to be honest......i was more asking who it was aimed at.....the suggestion was that we were Bruce advocates which is not true.

The good thing for Wolves is you are still regarded as a big enough club for one of those managers mentioned above to consider having a go at.
Irrespective of how you may feel about them in many regards, the important thing for you guys is to get someone who knows the ropes and can get you out of the first mess you're in ie Lg1 to the Champ.
McLeish would be a good shout as he is definitely a player motivator but serves up dour football for the fans.
As much as you would want to see attractive free-flowing football [as do we all whoever we support], you may want to take the first step however you can and worry about that aspect when you get back to the Champ or beyond.
McLeish comes across really well on TV and never ever slags off his players in public and in that regard there is a lot to be said in his defence.
Best of luck
