Hernandez

I've been very critical of Hernandez in the past, but I thought that today, in terms of all round play, was quite possibly the best game he's had at United.

The ball stuck to his feet, his link up play was consistently excellent and he was just generally very, very good. He looked like a class act in almost every department.

His all round game has come on leaps and bounds this season. Good enough to ever start week in, week out for a club like United? I maintain that it's a no. But you can't knock him for giving it a go. It's good to watch a player work on his weaknesses, not complain, and try his hardest whenever he gets the chance, and it's paying off for him. Wayne Rooney, take note.

I don't think Wayne Rooney got injured this season either

he was injured for around 2 months at the start

Much improved outside of the box and to me seems to have bulked up and not so easy to knock off the ball.
I really think he must stay as I do think he will continue to improve. Humble and just loves to play, great attitude.

I think if we want to challenge on all four fronts then we will definitely need another striker, someone with experience as well.
-----------
Why?

I can't think of a team in Europe that plays a 4231 that has four strikers on their books, can you? We do, currently, but that is with Rooney who is used as a No.10

Right now we have this:

No.9 - Van Persie, Hernandez, Welbeck
No.10 - Rooney, Kagawa

Imagine this:

No.9 - Van Persie, Hernandez, Welbeck, New Player
No. 10 - Kagawa

That scenario would leave us with less balance than we do now. We struggle to accomodate three No.9's as it is. Imagine a fourth? Or would go for another player in the mould of Rooney; a No.10? I wouldn't, as one of the positives of Rooney leaving would be to get Kagawa playing in his best position. A new signing in the same position would just leave us where we are now.

That big scar on his thigh must have appeared out of thin air.
He was also out for another 3 weeks after that

Completely forgot about those injuries, I guess deep down with him not being the star of the show I just had forgotten.
