Carl Froch after beating Kessler now claims to be the 2nd best British fighter of all time behind Lennox Lewis . He is a bit delusional and forgets the fact that Calzaghe schooled Kessler when Kessler was in his pomp. I know he has been the top Brit of late and has been in some big fights but he is well behind Calzaghe and boxers like Hatton, Hamed and Eubank were successful in different weight divisions which is something he needs to do to create a legacy.
Anyway what is your personal top 5? My memories tend to start at the very late 80s:
1) Joe Calzaghe
2) Lennox Lewis
3) Ricky Hatton
4) Carl Froch
5) Naseem Hamid

Jones and Eubank maybe but Hopkins is still a world champion in his late 40s and you could argue that Kessler was most definently at the end of his career.

You don't get credit for what you might have done and Froch as done, while the likes of Benn, Eubank Colins, and Watson, never pushed as hard.
All those fights and including Calzaghe you can pick out fantasy fights from there prime eras and argue who would have won that.
That can't be said about Froch he has fought the top men of his division, all of them.
A victory over Ward and a light heavyweight title and he will rank above Calzaghe IMO. Already above the rest British super middles.

Spot on, D4! Froch hasn't ducked anyone but agree he need to get the Ward defeat off his back or that will be the negative.
