I've been a PlayStation person since PS2, I chose PS3 over Xbox 360 and, barring a massive Sony balls-up, I was never going to be switching to Xbox One. The decision was made even easier by the fact that Microsoft's new console will be more expensive, have more restrictions on the trading and sharing of games, and although I've never looked too much into specs, the PS4 looks to have won that battle too. I've already seen plenty of Xbox players saying that they'll be switching to PlayStation or getting both consoles. For me, the only negative to be found of PS4 is the requirement of PS+ to play online, Xbox has already employed a similar system for years. Most of you have probably seen this video by now but it's still worth sharing:

Moving onto the reason we want to buy the consoles: the actual games. The one that has me most excited, by quite a distance, is Watch Dogs. Looking at the gameplay that's been shown so far, it looks like an incredible achievement. It's going to be on PS3 as well, but I think it's worth waiting until PS4 to get the most out of it. Mirror's Edge 2 has also been revealed, and although we've only seen a few seconds of actual gameplay, that's something I can't wait for. DriveClub, The Order: 1886 and InFamous: Second Son also look like they could be good. Plenty of other stuff including Killzone: Shadow Fall, Final Fantasy XV, Kingdom Hearts III and Destiny worth keeping an eye on. We also saw a... thing called The Dark Sorcerer which was a tech demo rather than an actual game but was interesting nonetheless.
Despite all this, I'm still not done with the PS3. Plenty of games haven't been played for the last time, and I'm definitely getting at least three more games on PS3 which are The Last of Us, Beyond: Two Souls and, obviously, GTA V. As well of those I'll probably be getting the HD versions of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus (possibly on the disc, possibly as part of a month's free PS+) as well as Far Cry 3 which I've had recommended to me, and I'm looking at a fair few other titles too. The near future looks to be the most exciting time in gaming that I can remember, and I still play San Andreas

Interesting read on PS4. May end up similar to XBone. MS are enforcing the DRMs themselves while PS4 will let third party publishers decide. So it may end up in a similar situation.
