You getting one of the consoles, any games that appeal to you?
Was tempted to get the next gen xbox, cause I love the concept of the Kinect....but now I am not sure.
What's the PS4 price and has a picture of the model been released yet?
£350

The design looks very similar to the PS2. Looks better than the XBox One though.
It is just a smart decision to get PS4, can't think of one advantage xbone has over PS4 other than the controller design which is just my preference. You aren't being restricted at all on PS4, lot's of freedom and no crappy kinect either. All the big games will come on both consoles, I can't see any groundbreaking exclusives coming any time soon.
I'm defo getting PS4 it's much cheaper than Xbox One, looks a lot like the old PS2 though
At work today, one Xbox user sent me a link to the 'how to share ps4 games' parody, and an even bigger Xbox fan has said he's thinking of switching to PS4.
I've had all the Playstations, would be getting the next PS4 whatever happened last night and beforehand, and am definitely still getting a PS4.

Is it still free online on PS4?

You need playstation plus to play online multiplayer, £30-40 a year
That's shitee, it's like Xbox gold then
At least it doesn't look like a giant VCR you would have had back in the 90s, that's what that the XBone looks like.
I currently own a 360 but looks like I'm gonna be switching to the PS4, Microsoft really messed up here, looks like Sony actually listened to its customers.
Yeah, it does look like the PS2. I think it's a pretty good design but that's not too important. I think the touchpad thing on the new DualShock could make a big difference. I've barely used it but I've never really been a fan of the Xbox controller, think that's more me being used to the DualShock though.
I'm a little bit gutted about having to play for online, but it'll open up a few extra features as part of PS+ and I think the PS4 plus the year's PS+ subscription still works out as cheaper than the base price of the Xbox One so it's not all bad.
That's shitee, it's like Xbox gold then
.....
Not too much of an issue, at least this way they would be able to improve their online service....one can hope.
It's not a big deal to pay for online, yes it's good to have it for free but 30-40 a year is nothing
I wouldn't say £30-40 a year is nothing, it's the equivalent of a brand new game and it was always a great point which the PS3 had over 360. But yeah, considering other factors it's not as big a deal as I thought it might be.
Good summery. Could have went into more depth about the Xbox one's games through.
They're pretty similar to the PS4's. Not sure of all the exclusives but I can remember the usual suspects (Halo, Forza), Titanfall and some others.
That one too. But from what I've seen of previous Dead Risings I think The Last of Us can easily outdo it, even on PS3.
Dead Rising Three looks nothing like the previous ones. They were nothing like the Last of Us! Wonder why they've changed it.
I know they're not exactly similar in terms of gameplay but there are similar themes (zombie/infected outbreaks etc.) and I think the way The Last of Us is going about it is more my sort of thing. All down to personal preference again though.
Dead rising has lost the comedy which could be fatal or genius
