The Most Deluded Guy In World Cricket!

Australia had two of the greatest bowlers that ever played test cricket in that 2005 series - will that happen again with any of the present crew? I doubt it, they don't exactly fill me with dread. It was clear from a very eary age that McGrath would be a handful.
And anyway we are getting away from the point, which was - which bowlers are better AT PRESENT. Present day. Now. Not tomorrow, not in 6 months time, And PRESENTLY England are a gulf apart from Australia. Say it aint so and THATS why you are talking rubbish

Not writing the aussies off at all, but to say they are the best all round is an overstatement.

even if India win this tournament they still have work to do in the test arena, promising youngsters yes but can they sustain it across a full test series, only time will tell. as they say one sunrise doesn't make a summer.
I'm not one to label people on a series/tournament alone, as I always say people drop in and out of form all the time i.e. Bresnan and Broad

Strangely, I'd like to congratulate mafia on creating some decent debate on the cricket board
Something that doesn't happen all that often, it's usually just petty squabbling

When I mentioned all the facts about "PRESENT bowling attack in the year 2005", you are reluctant to accept it. I haven't anywhere denied English bowling is better Aussies. What I said, taking away Anderson..England bowling is on par to Australia, which is true in my opinion.
Now, I would like to put a lid on this matter and move on.

YOU might like to but i refute that - Anderson aside (and proably Tremlett or Onions I guess would take his place) England are STILL better. So there

All I said was look what India have done with a written off attack. That certainly does not guarantee what they will in future. In similar lines Oz attack might do well.
Bottom line form means nothing. Take Anderson out and leave Bresnan and Broad in. Both the attacks are similar. Onions by far a better bowler than Broad. But again no one has guts to put Broad aside. England's management is fascinated with the bowling all rounder theory. If the England attack is Anderson, Finn, Onions, Swann and Tremlett then certainly it is the best attack in the world. But I doubt that will happen.

Agreed re bowling all rounders, the only thing with onions is can he manage if ball doesn't swing.
Disagree re form means nothing, that's the sort of attitude that kept India's ageing stars in the team when they didn't warrant a place. Yes form is temporary class is permanent but when a player is out of form they shouldn't play

Have to agree...Players like Dhawan make their test debut and score 180+ and then come to England and still continue scoring runs. Hes 27!!
Unles he miracoulsly became a top player, I feel its these players that have suffered due to Players playig well beyond their sell by date
