This is a player who has brought us great memories! The funny quotes against Arsenal. Calling them our training center and referring to them as babies after we beat them 4.1 in the CL. His performances from 07-10 were world class and he has barley been injured whilst at Utd. Now with the eventual signing of Baines, Evra will probably be off. Will Baines be any good at Utd? It's an interesting signing but I feel he lacks that pace we will need from the back.

Evra's attacking game is actually overrated. He gets up and down well and he's very good at offering support but his end product is nothing short of abysmal
I know he's scores a few this season but I'm talking about his final ball, his crosses in particular. I bet he's barely made double figures assists in his time with us
Baines on the other hand has one hell of a left foot, better than many wingers but I agree with most that he's too slow and his age doesn't warrant is spending £15mil on him, no resale value

It's not just about the final ball when you attack. It's about the positions you open up. Evra has been great at making spaces for the attack, something Baines is nowhere good enough at. He is as you said too slow.

BS, this sort of talk smacks of someone who only keeps in touch with United, not caring about what happens around the rest of the league.
Baines created the most chances for any player (note not just defenders!) in Europe. He's a superb attacking FB, with a very solid defensive side. Just what we need.
