It'll be 25 million or shut up Levy you tightwad. That opening bid of 20 million next week will be swiftly shot down. Spurs only have the cash option as none of there deadwood players are wanted by us. A Chelsea buy gives us many more options but he doesn't want to go there. Personally what Benteke wants now doesn't matter, Villa come first and so does the best deal.
Lerner and Lambert have already said they won't be bullied into selling him for less. If we don't sell him at the end of the day we still win because if he wants a starting spot at The World Cup he'll have to get his head together and stop listening to his leech of an agent and score goals. If not then Lambert will bench him and he's truly screwed! Lambert isn't O'Neill or McJudas, he's not a guy to be messed with or trodden on by ungrateful players. Benteke has been terribly advised by his leech agent.
We've got Benteke by the b@115

when benteke first put in a transfer request, chronics 1st reaction was that he was tapped up, but now he realises the club is spurs he has changed his tune but alas, i actually like you chronic so lets talk football.
was listening to a journalist on talk sport y'day who follows belgium football and he doesn't seem to rate benteke much, he doesn't think he can cut it at a top 10 club and the reason why he did so well at villa was because all the play was based around him, was an interesting opinion. I think Benteke will be at spurs by the end of this transfer window, but how do you reckon he will do?

actually no i havent changed my tune. i have been very consistent in the following.
1. his behaviour is disrespectful to aston villa, and if we were to buy him, he would turn round and do the same thing to us as soon as a "bigger" club came in for him.
2. i think benteke is clearly a good player, however 25m is too steep a price to pay (too big a risk) after one good season.. not even that.. more like 2/3 of a good season.
3. however he has lots of potential and is young so will have resale value even if he flops
4. levy wont pay 25m, i am sure of it.

fair enough chronic. it will be interesting to see how he does next year whichever club he is at and i actually think villa will be fine with or without him.

I still favour making him play for the reserves and train with the kids for the next 3 years.
He's "only" on 20K per week and might end up subbing his own fee by taking one of those pay day loans out.

I'm not moaning Chronic. Your club needs to get it's act together. The price is 25m, no swaps. Offer it or we'll sell him to Chelsea for £20m. 😊
