Ok firstly apologies if this has been covered by anyone else, not really been on here much as the window is doing my head in.
But what i find strange about this Fabregas saga is that Utd have twice confirmed bids something which we never do. And secondly Moyes is being very vocal about it, perhaps this is how we will conduct transfer dealings in future. Who knows.
But i can't imagine Utd would publically bid twice on Fabregas unless they knew he wanted the move, lets not forgot RVP/Cesc are friends it would be foolish to think Utd are in the dark over Fabregas wanting the move or not.
Arsenal fans will be quick to point out Fabregas would never join Utd, but they also said that about RVP. So i'd ignore what they say.
The chance to be the replacement for Paul Scholes should be appealing to any footballer in the world.
Utd being very vocal on Fabregas

There's a difference between 'secret' and 'quickly concluded'. RVP and Tevez were not suddenly announced to a surprised public, they just got done quite quickly after we became aware of them. (Actually, was the Tevez transfer that quick? I don't remember it as such.)

Didn't the Hargreaves saga go on and on?

You don't think the RVP transfer would've taken a while behind the scenes?
We're talking about Wenger's crown jewel here. We're talking about Arsenal selling their main asset to Manchester United. It would've taken a while believe me
Had Fergie come out affter his inital offer and said he's trying to sign RVP, it would've been all over the media, on twitter etc like the THiago saga if not worse considering it was between 2 english clubs

Tevez transfer was far from an Easy transfer. I was 14 at the time and at that age you are very keen on knowing the details. I remember we had a problem signing him because of Kia jorbichian (spelling). There was some issues regarding his registration.

Does anyone really believe that Moyes would set himself up like this ?? Surely Utd know something or wouldn't comment.
Why would they make Moyes look like an idiot ?
I agree, whether we get him or not I don't know, but we are clearly serious about this transfer.
The thing which concerns me is Moyes clack of confidence or conviction that we will actually sign any if the targets.

But I'm talking relative. We managed to get RVP and Tevez without long drawn out sagas.
.............
We didn't buy Tevez, and the loan deal with him went on for quite some time.
Are you new to supportinmg United?

blabla
I believe Barca will wait until their new manager comes in, before any decision is made here.
I think he will be staying put to be honest.

Have to agree with you VC. In fact deep down I think most UTD fans think this a long shot anyway and the fact that barcelona are searching for a new manager makes it even more unlikely.
I would assume that the club have other midfield targets to fall back on.
