Formidable forest

I'd say with the team we have so far, were looking at top 6-8ish, and think were mainly a 20+ season striker away from auto contention.

Hobbs looks to be brought in as the sturdy commanding CB we need to sure up the defence. At first it looked like collins would've been that role but tailed off terribly imo. If we get wilson in as well we will have an airtight pairing at the back. Full back slots are sorted and looking strong.

With have a pacey outlet in paterson who has had only positive reviews from pre-season games so that can only be a good thing. I doubt geddy is going anywhere and have depth in all 4 areas.

We have more different tools up front than a tool box, however, most only complement a goal scorer, and thats what we're missing. As much i i've heard a fit and ready derbyshire could be the answer, and it'd like it to be, i doubt it.

The last part of the puzzle imo.

Anyone think we're missing abit more to be auto contenders?

I would prefer Mackie or Austin...Billy Sharp had his chance and could have done more to impress imo

pep, with sevice, fitness, and regular starts, none of which he had last season, i think he'd hit 20.

About austin, sky bets have stopped taking bets on it as of half 11 today when we were firm favorites, other have drastically lowered the odds on us getting him.

I think something going on under the radar.

How come if Austin failed a medical for Hull and Boyd didn't, yet Boyd failed the Forest medical how can Austin possibly pass the stricter Forest medical. Something not making sense here.

Well Boyd failed on an eye test. I'm presuming that's not been the problem with Austin.

Pretty self-explanatory.

Spart..use your sense....Fawaz was getting rid of AM, King Billy lined up...phone call....Fawaz to King Billy. Do you want Boyd Billy? Nope! OK ...we won't sign him. Done. Also Dodgy shoulder is better than being Blind....Make sense now? Anyway why are you signing OAP's? How do they get through their medicals?

Like Pep says it makes perfect sense, the chairman/ Davies didn't want Boyd so jumped on any excuse.

I find it hard to believe it's the shoulder injury that's the problem. Looking at wiki that was from when he was at Swindon, since then he's been through a medical, signed for Burnley and scored goals. I hope it's just that.

Thought it was his knee......I know he's had shoulder injuries/problem.........but I thought he failed at Hull due to his knee?
