Suarez to hold Arsenal talks

Arsenal were Liverpools only hope of getting back into the top4.
Now that Arsenal have money, and are ready to take their best player, that top4 hope is slowely sinking.
The only thing that Liverpool and Arsenal can relate to atm is this Suarez saga.
When the season starts Arsenal will focusing on Chelsea, Man U etc, while Liverpool will be focusing on Everton and Swansea.

Stop living in the past. We're not arrogant, we know we're also rans. You're in denial about being in a similar state.
--------------------
I appreciate you're summary. Both of our clubs then have had to deal with economic difficulties which have hindered us during a period where sugar daddy clubs have dominated title chases (however didn't you spend 100 mill two years ago in the suumer window?). However your fall from grace has been substantially more severe than ours, despite not actually losing as many key players, try having your entire back bone ripped out, yet so many of your fans act superior to us.
We are not in denial, I understand where my club is, I know we are are step below City, United and Chelsea. We are perhaps in the same tier as you but we have a much better squad/team/manager than you, that is a fact based on our consecutive rankings in the league. This with the correct acquisitions could genuinely progress us towards a championship competing club. This my hope and belief about my club and I don't see this as delusional.
Liverpool are frankly five or six years behind us (with the loss of Suarez who no matter what will not be part of your future plans regardless of where ends up), and we are possibly three years behind the lot above us depending on our actual shopping in the market.
You still haven't built a sustainable back bone

Probably already been said but:
"If bidding £40,000,001 for Suarez means your smoking a joint, then spending £35,000,000 on Carroll must be the equivalent of sticking a kilo up your backside"
Henry is starting to sound like Comical Ali!

Arsenal will either win the Champions League or Premier League next season.

some fair points in there SM64
you're a little overboard with the 5/6 years
you're still not having luck attracting top players even with this 'warchest' and you're still in a state where if one of the top3 in England or another 4-5 clubs on the continent come for a player they'll leave on the spot. It's a tough cycle to break.
We have a fair bit to be confident about as well. Just the addition of Coutinho and Sturridge turned into a lot more goals. We also have a very young side where many of them will improve just by being a year older (Sterling, Ibe, Alberto, Allen, Henderson).
For the next couple of seasons I see us improving even if we signed no one because of this and they're all getting more familiar with a very different, continental style of football that's been producing a lot of goals (even when Suarez was out).
We're at the low end of the second tier, you're at the higher end.
wait and see. football changes fast.

Arsenal are only a small way ahead of Liverpool due to their continuity in Arsene wenger.
That is your only competitive advantage.
It'll be tested this year that's for sure. Suarez won't be joining arsenal for the current bid.. as its already been rejected.

I can see why you're so excited to stick in the knife to a big target (us) after the Manchester sides & Barca pillaged all your class players. You finally (potentially) have someone to have a 'one up' on in the transfer game and there's a lot of bad memories you'd like to take out on a 'peer' of sorts.
Barca, Chelsea and Madrid gutted our side in recent years so I can sympathise.
