Want an iPhone but didn't want to shell out £500 or £40 a month? Well fear not my friends as Apple is rumoured to be releasing a budget version of the iPhone. Not only that its apparently going to arrive in several funky colours (see the Nokia Lumia range).
So this is clearly an attempt to hit back at Samsung who seem to be selling bucket loads of budget phones every hour, but is it a good idea?
Apple to me has always been a company thats products have screamed the word premium, everything they sell comes with a premium price tag, but in return you get a good bit of kit. A cheaper iPhone to me doesn't feel very Applely.
Anyone like the idea? Anyone going to buy one? Anyone not give a shìt? Anyone actually read the entire article?

I think it will be 3.5 inch. Same as the first 5 I phones, can't see it being much smaller than that as apple devices are always easy to use, a 3" phone running iOS would not be easy to use. Also a lot of apps have been developed for that size screen so it would make sense

Don't think a 3.5 inch display would go that well. You've gotta look at the sales of S3/S4 mini.
As ridiculous as the note 1/2 look size does matter these days.
A 3.5 inch display would be a down point on matter how premium it is.
Even Apple have started to realize how important size is and don't think they'll come out with a smaller phone.
My uncle works at Apple California and he has said that they have no plans in releasing a smaller cheaper iPhone although he could be lying too.

I am a Note 2 user and that is a bit too small for me, I hope the Note 3 is 6 inches and if not I think I will be getting the Sony Xperia Z Ultra which is 6.4 inches.
I think a 3.5 inch display would be fine. My mum went from the iPhone 4 to iPhone 5 in May and has moaned about the size ever since, to her the 4 was the perfect size. My girlfriend is using a Galaxy S3 and is looking at going to a Lumia 720 which is 4.3 so not everyone wants the bigger display

Apple won't release a cheaper iPhone. Just rumours nothing else.
Its completely against their principles.
====================
Lol "principles". What principles? ripping people off and trying to make as much money as possible?
It is happening by the way. The thing has been pictured numerous times.

Twin
Tbf every big company cares about making money and nothing else. Samsung, Apple, Nokia, BB are all birds of the same feather who flock together as far as money making is concerned.

Knowing apple it will cost about £399 or £39 a month.

I guess it is comparable with cheaper, simpler models in the iPod range.
Personally, I just replaced my iPhone with an HTC One as I got sick of Apple controlling my data and making it hard to interact with devices outside their universe. I have no regrets about the decision.

You want a budget iPhone? thats what the old iPhone 3g, 4 and 4s are. That is how Apple roll.
