I read the whole article because, coincidentally my ex-girlfriend's brother just smashed her phone against a wall.
How much are they?
If it runs similar to a standard iphone then great.
i read it lol.
well depends on your customer, Samsung have done well with that chat phone as it was similar to Blackberry, but not everyone could afford one.
those that cant afford the premium is good news as cheaper alternative, but people who know what they pay for wont buy i wouldn't have thought.
just be good news for those with less money, but obviously you sacrifice the quality and usually reliability.
Nobody knows the price but apparently £200-£300. Still not cheap Nokia or Samsung prices
Apple won't release a cheaper iPhone. Just rumours nothing else.
Its completely against their principles.
Wayne and Robin
They released a cheaper (all be it smaller) iPad.
are they trying to target students with this?
could be on to a winner, as most students would rather spend their hard earned cash on alcohol lol
image is key now days esp among the younger generation, if they get the marketing and appeal right could take off, funky colours
Important word "Smaller"
A smaller iPhone (3 inch display n all)and nobody would buy it.

Very true, having a cheap Samsung device just isn't as cool as having a cheap Apple device. Although I think the colourful cheap Nokia lumias are cool devices, but I don't think I am down with the kids
But size matters in this cases. In tablets you can play around with its size a bit. One inch here and there and not many would mind.
But a smaller phone (around 3 inch display)and you've got a lot of problems.
I am sure a small phone would be a flop no matter how trendy it is.
W&R
I think it will be 3.5 inch. Same as the first 5 I phones, can't see it being much smaller than that as apple devices are always easy to use, a 3" phone running iOS would not be easy to use. Also a lot of apps have been developed for that size screen so it would make sense
Don't think a 3.5 inch display would go that well. You've gotta look at the sales of S3/S4 mini.
As ridiculous as the note 1/2 look size does matter these days.
A 3.5 inch display would be a down point on matter how premium it is.
Even Apple have started to realize how important size is and don't think they'll come out with a smaller phone.
My uncle works at Apple California and he has said that they have no plans in releasing a smaller cheaper iPhone although he could be lying too.
Imma get an iPhone 5 in September probs

I am a Note 2 user and that is a bit too small for me, I hope the Note 3 is 6 inches and if not I think I will be getting the Sony Xperia Z Ultra which is 6.4 inches.
I think a 3.5 inch display would be fine. My mum went from the iPhone 4 to iPhone 5 in May and has moaned about the size ever since, to her the 4 was the perfect size. My girlfriend is using a Galaxy S3 and is looking at going to a Lumia 720 which is 4.3 so not everyone wants the bigger display

It is happening by the way. The thing has been pictured numerous times.

Tbf every big company cares about making money and nothing else. Samsung, Apple, Nokia, BB are all birds of the same feather who flock together as far as money making is concerned.
Knowing apple it will cost about £399 or £39 a month.
I guess it is comparable with cheaper, simpler models in the iPod range.
Personally, I just replaced my iPhone with an HTC One as I got sick of Apple controlling my data and making it hard to interact with devices outside their universe. I have no regrets about the decision.
You want a budget iPhone? thats what the old iPhone 3g, 4 and 4s are. That is how Apple roll.
