Liverpool FC

Certain clubs remain above others, they remain above others no matter what happens in their history. They reach such a level that they are considered "great", these are iconic clubs; these clubs can fall from the top perch (but only a little) yet their support never waiver, their standing in world football is assured as sure as the earth rotates about the sun each day.

Juventus, Man utd, AC Milan, R Madrid to name a few they have had ups and downs, there are only two in English football; Liverpool FC and Man utd....the rest simply do not measure up to the history, fan base, worldwide aclaim and trophies these two have. Of the two utd are firmly standing tall, while Liverpool FC are coming from a period of decline to one of huge promise. Players come and go yet the name continues, the Liverpool FC name is unmistakable......it continues to make history.

The latest period for Liverpool is one where the whole club has started almost again, new manager, new club owners, new players, new scouts, new youth structure. The philosophy remains the same, tweaked but essentially the same, pass..control..move..create space; this Liverpool have started to show their teeth, they have replaced mediocrity with quality, replaced average youth with outstanding youth and have ensured what is practiced at senior level is replicated at reserve and youth level, a synergy between all age groups within Liverpool FC.

This is not the Liverpool of the last 3yrs, this ia a new liverpol; a liverpool of spanish intelligence, of brazilian magic and English technical youth mixed with quality from all over the world. Make no mistake, this Liverpool wil not settle for a league position without trophies; in the greatest traditions of the club this Liverpool will look to finish top dog and european majesty. The new dawn has started, the liverbird has plucked her feathers and cleared her throat, the glorious past indicates the future; it is and will be embraced.

Anyway fred. Heres a question,

At the mo, domu reckon Liverpool can hold their own with arsenal and spurs? You see I do, I think we have strengthened massively while arsenal havent plus spurs have a little.

With sturridge, coutinho, agger, mignolet, aspas, lucas, gerrard, suarez, allen, johnson, enrique etc I dont think anyone can arguenwe have the equal of those 2.....wouldnt u agree?

It's pretty rough FbK because the baileys and lime cordial curdles so it's not something I'd drink out of choice haha.

And GB I don't think we have a starting 11 as good as Spurs anymore but I think we have a better squad than Arsenal as things stand.

Really fred?? I mean about spurs? Personally I think it, s 50/50 betwe us and them, I mean i wouldnt swop;

Mignolet
Agger
Johnson
Gerrard
Coutinho
Sturridge
Suarez

For any of their players, in fact id only take;

Vert
Dembele
Bale
Lennon(although it depends on how sterling does this season....sterling can be better imo)

Honestly thats it.

I'd take Lloris, Bale, Dembele, Verthongen, Soldado, Paulinho, Holtby, Sandro but not necessarily ahead of our players.

I do believe that whilst the world changed, Liverpool were restricted by shît owners who trapped us. As the likes of united and Chelsea progressed, we stayed at the same rate. And due to that, we actually declined. We've had to make up 10 years of progression in 4. Now we are brimming with brazillians and other talented Hispanics who will lead the way forward

Well done GB, that actually had paragraphs and spelling and everything.

I could read it without thinking I was listening to the bloke slouched in the corner of the pub refusing to accept last orders.

Have you started the 12 steps?
