Yeah! But we were never runners up in the Emirates Cup though
Although this will probably attract many a WUM, along with their over-used emoticons, I can't say I disagree with this. I actually agree with many things that you say, GB. You are indeed an eternal optimist, but I too am an optimist when it comes to LFC. Probably just not quite as optimistic as yourself
can't wait to see "greatteams" reply to this
Regarding the youth setup, looking at it now compared to, say, when Rafa arrived, it is quite astounding how much it has improved. When Rafa was here, our youngsters consisted of players like Darren Potter, David Raven and Lee Peltier. Players who made one or two appearances but were never going to make it. Now we have players like Sterling and Ibe, players who have a genuine chance of becoming first team regulars in the future. And while they may not be born and bred Scousers that joined the club as a kid and made it to the first team, which we would all love to see, at least we still have very promising British talent to look forward to seeing develop.
Get ready for the inevitable "LOOOL deluded scousers, West Brom and Swansea are ur rivals now" posts. Great article GB.
I have never seen so many young players at lfc have a genuine chance of making the transition to then seniors in one go:
Kelly
Ibe
Sterling
Wisdom
Not far behind,
Coady
Suso
Sinclair
Great article written with such passion.
100% agree with you have said.
That was a really good article.
good article gb
Better than the usual we are going to win the league ones anyway
Neo.....funny you mention that neo
I'm 99% sure you made an Article almost the same as this last year but still Great article GB
It's possible (although unlikely) that none of your current crop will make it to be first team regulars. The most important thing is that players are coming through, who are good enough to be given first team chances, which I haven't really seen at Liverpool for a quite a few years.
I'll take that as a positive rusty.
Great article buddy!
I try not to get too optimistic because since 08/09 we've had so many false dawns but I believe we have more reason to be optimistic than any time since Rafa was in charge! Long may it continue.
What u still doing up Fred? ?
Was my friend's birthday so we got her smashed at the pub and I had to drive her home
Jäger, baileys and lime cordial in a shot. Nasty.
Ha, ha....im on rum and coke at the mo
Anyway fred. Heres a question,
At the mo, domu reckon Liverpool can hold their own with arsenal and spurs? You see I do, I think we have strengthened massively while arsenal havent plus spurs have a little.
With sturridge, coutinho, agger, mignolet, aspas, lucas, gerrard, suarez, allen, johnson, enrique etc I dont think anyone can arguenwe have the equal of those 2.....wouldnt u agree?
That sounds like an interesting shot actually Fred. Does it have a name?
Fbk....wtf r u still doing up???
I'll be retiring soon
To bed, that is.
It's pretty rough FbK because the baileys and lime cordial curdles so it's not something I'd drink out of choice haha.
And GB I don't think we have a starting 11 as good as Spurs anymore but I think we have a better squad than Arsenal as things stand.
