If Liverpool continue with their £50m or nothing approach which everyone is reporting then I think if nothing has changed by the end of the week then we should just give them the £50m and concentrate on the coming season and other deals. We really need to sign him now for club morale if nothing else, Arsenal fans are fed up of the tight fisted taunts from other clubs and we're tired of watching the club regress, if we're willing to pay 40 then surely we'd rather pay 50 than start the season with no notable marquee signing.
Suarez won't solve all of our problems, we need a powerful, mobile and disciplined centre mid and a more experienced goalkeeper if we're going to compete this coming season. Signing people like Suarez will soon become pointless if we don't add to it and fall to the same mistakes we do every season but he'll certainly give the club a lift and give the current crop a kick up the backside with his at all costs winning mentality.
Hope we just stump up.

honest, if Madrid come in for him we'll let him go
===================
Exactly. The club are secretly praying Madrid don't bid as we want to keep him and push for top 4. Arsenal fans think we're leaking info and inviting other clubs, which doesn't make sense.

"Don't know how your brain works thinking we want Madrid to bid"
From a Liverpool fan
"Your a gang of armatures when it comes to signing players for big money and I can't wait for Madrid to come in and sign Suarez"
There you go

Not according to half the reporters.
The fee has been agreed in principle. Its about payment methods. So if Spurs want £50m up front, they will agree to less over all, or if they want it in installments the fee could go up £80m. And so on.
The point is that both clubs are talking in details means the Bale to Madrid deal is done and its only a matter of time when they com to an arrangement.
And as I said in the other thread. It does not matter if the everything goes belly up with their Bale deal and Madrid come in for Suarez. Suarez going to Madrid will be good for us anyway. We will just move onto our next target but you will still be weakened.
With Spurs weakened without Bale and you without Suarez. No problem for the top 4 even if we don't sign anyone.

No quality striker will want to join Liverpool no matter how much money you'll have.

We signed Suarez when we finished 8th. What makes you think no quality striker would want to join us?

You signed Suarez from Ajax, overpaid and lucked out. You didn't buy a top quality proven striker. You could have just as likely bought a 'Kezman'.
Top quality strikers want to play in the Champions League. Something you can't offer. Thats why Suarez wants to move in the first place.

We overpaid for Suarez? And there goes any credibility you may have had.

Suarez had a ton of baggage, incl court cases to move clubs and biting people. He was playing in a league where most strikers goals like Kezman. You have no idea how valuations are done.
