Oh, and with SSL scoring at the right end, maybe the SSL/Sven haters might pipe down for a bit, also

Haters? that's a bit strong.

SSL is average to decent, but not great value for money.

Sven was a disaster for our football club and has done more lasting damage than NP ever has.

.... but both seem to be jolly nice chaps!

Nah, still not a massive fan of SSL.

Always looks like he's got a mistake or two in him. If you think about how much Morgan cost/earns in comparison, there's no argument. I'd take another Morgan over SSL any day of the week!

Can we just accept that of those posting here, some are quite confident that we will be in the running for promotion, while others think this doubtful? That is hardly surprising, and probably no different to the position on umpteen other Championship boards.

I see no need at all for it to become a matter of division and animosity, which is what happens every time someone here talks, other than very lightly, about either moaners or those with blue tinted spectacles, or purports to detect 'suspicious silences'.

We are all somewhere on the continuum, delighted when City win and despondent when they lose, and ready with our own pet reasons to explain either outcome. That's fine, and it makes the board interesting. Let's not get bitter about it.

You can only beat what's in front of you and we did play very well in the second half at Boro and by all accounts the win should have been more convincing.

Also coming from behind to win shows character, something we rarely achieved last season so that could be viewed as an improvement?

To not play particularly well and still win two games away from home is surely a good sign? This time last season we were playing well away and losing! Beat Leeds on Sunday and it'll be a good solid start to the season!

Personally I just wish I could bake a cake full of rainbows and smiles and we could all just eat and be happy.

I think that's about as close as you're going to get.
