Greetings Toffees

Looking forward to the big KO. Just wondering what shape you lot are in coming in to the game (the players that is, I don't want your personal history!)

Spurs have injury problems as usual.

King & Gallas have played no part in pre season.

Huddlestone has had half a pre season and managed 45m at the w/e, but looked in poor touch.

Sandro was injured at Copa-Am and will likely miss several more weeks

VDV got nobbled 1 week ago and word is he is aiming to return for Europa next week, but he might make the squad.

We have had mixed results pre season. A defeat, a draw a few wins, the Vodafone Challenge Trophy (or something). Scoring ok, but defending less impressive, as usual.

Bale & Lennon looking impressive. Walker a real attacking threat. Kranjcar looking decent (although not happy). Same old same old for THFC really.

What about you chaps?

I agree PJS, would prefer the slow pre-season we had and some early wins. Fingers crossed we don't go 4-5-1

Burgerbuns you should sell him and buy Keane with the funds

I'd do a straight swap - Anichebe for Keane - even if Keane is 30+

At least you're guaranteed a minimum 8-10 goals with Keane. I wouldn't put a penny on VA scoring more than 2.

maybe 3 years ago. I dunno what Liverpool did to Keane but the player that left and the one who came back 6 months later where not the same person.

He is useless mate

nah... walker will do a Bale if anything and end up challenging Lennon for right wing. Kyle Naughton is good but we dont need another RB. he will be off on loan and eventually sold.

Danny Rose is the back up LB.

Trust me, I have seen them both at LB and RB many a game for Sheffield United. They would be my choice

Chronic - definitely. I was gutted they gave Anichebe a new contract earlier this year. He is a big lad but I've never seen him shine. He's good for falling over and pouting. Some people like him, I'd love him sold off.

I'd happily eat my words if he comes good but I can't see it ever happening.

When Vic smashed his way through teams in Europe he looked the real deal. However that hunger left him once he go a decent first deal, now we only see small snippets of what he can do. Lets hope he is a late bloomer!

I hope you're right mate, I really do.

He started to show consistancy right up until Nolan took him at Newcastle. He has been the shadow of a player since. If he could just get one to go in off his ass then I am sure he will be flying again. At the moment he looks like he cant buy a goal.

Well, he's got 4.5 years to save up.

he just needs a five yard scuff, look what something like that did for Beckford
