On the Sunday Supplement yesterday the guys were saying that Rooney was 24 hours away from joining City before he was convinced to stay. I really can't remember if Sir Alex said he wouldn't have sold Rooney to City. In my hazy memory it seemed like he was going there until a last second turnaround.
Would we have sold him to City back then? Maybe that would point to whether or not we'd sell Rooney to Chelsea this time.
Would we have sold Rooney to City in 2010?

Think your indulging him again there. You can't question SAF been stubborn and dropping Rooney
United won the league by miles so clearly he was right

Maybe, but they would of won the league if Rooney started too.i think your indulging SAF in honesty. We all know he can be stubborn

Would you not rather have the option to take or leave Rooney whilst players like RVP do the business
SAF realised he couldn't rely on Rooney, he even decided he didn't want to play for the club in certain games last season when they were storming the league
Self centred nonsense I think for which he's usually indulged but even the club reached the point where enough was enough

I recall that Wayne said at the time that he had never spoken with the Bitters.

But rvp, like someone said, had a big barren spell second half of the year did he not? And Rooney played when rvp did anyway, not as a straight swap.
So I don't think that's the reason at all.

Yes
That's why if Rooney is sold and we don't get a replacement we will be screwed, having to rely on Welbeck and Hernandez.

I got free tickets to the charity shield yesterday and Hernandez never came on did he? Why not?

Why do people think it's a guarantee that RVP will have another barren spell?
He was in his first season at United so there were always gonna be a couple of hiccups.
And I don't know why Hernandez is suddenly someone we can't rely on!

Rooney was in good form last year then got dropped because of saf being stubborn. Nothing to do with form.

When did this magical event happen?

Moyes was probably never a fan of Chicha whilst at Everton
