The Moyes Conundrum...

As we all know, we've bid for Baines & Fellani (spelling) today. Many disagree with Moyes thinking. If we take a common sense approach:

In regards to LB: For the past few years I've heard you all moan about Evra's defensive ability, supposed great going forward but so poor at the back.

I would argue his crossing is extremely suspect! He's great at getting up there, just no end product! Whenever he plays against skill and lightening pace he is found wanting.

Over recent years his positional play has been shocking. His age is a concern, I think he's 31 now, no doubt ill be corrected if I'm wrong.

Now it's not all bad, last year he bucked up massively, I was very very impressed with his goal record and defensive displays compared to previous years. Was this just a one off? Time will tell...

Now to Baines, I have reverted to my girlfriends family who were Everton through and through. Only seeing him the odd time here and there I do wonder what all the fuss was about.

Now I know these are blue tinted glasses but phrases like best player in the team, fantastic set pieces, superb going forward etc. they did say he wasn't as good defending as attacking but he's worth £20m plus for the goals and chances hell create.

Now I think £20m is a lot considering his age but what's the alternative? He is supposed to be the best LB in the premiere league, would you rather blood youth that will take time to settle?

Now with the current noises Moyes has been making about strengthening midfield... We should all be doing cartwheels! We've been moaning about this since the loss of Keane! All Fergie wanted was strikers and defenders... As long as Giggs and Scholes were still breathing wed be fine!

Now you may say Moyes has been unrealistic going for Modric, Ozil, Fabregas etc but they are the sort of player we want! They are united quality! But it's not his fault they either won't come or there clubs won't sell. We should have bid more when they were available.

Over the past two years we've been linked with some truly WC talent but for some reason it's never happened. So what's Moyes to do... Risk £40m and buy youth, which would be a risk: unproven, lightweight, etc or go for developed WC talent: won't come, cost, ego etc

Instead he's gone for proven premiership knowledge. Arguably the best in there positions. Yes they may be a stop gap but this is a massive rebuilding process. Moyes is in danger of being crucified by you morons if he doesn't win the treble this year! He needs time to find his feet.

In my opinion he's made the right noises, but couldn't get what he wanted. So settled for proven consistent quality and an improvement to what we already have. But with you lot, he can't win either way! GET BEHIND OUR MANAGER & OUR TEAM!!!

Sorry about the essay! End of rant!

When Young plays well he's pretty good. Problem is that it's a rarity. For that reason I'd rather sell him than keep him in the squad when we've more talented younger players like Zaha and Januzaj waiting to get their chance.

Januzaj is better than Young now

and he's better than Zaha atm aswell, get him in the team

Andreas Perreira will be another Belgian superstar along with Januzaj. But until they are ready to perform week in week out for United I propose we play Giggs in midfield.

Januzaj is ready for me

You know what, I'm sold on the idea of Baines on the left providing the width with Kagawa able to drift infield and (maybe) Rooney behind RVP. Sounds good. I still like Evra though.

He's definitely got the ability. It's still too early to judge as Sevilla is the only team of note that he's actually played against. But he was bloody good in that game.

throw him in i say, not sure Moyes has the balls to do it, we could see a 1995 situation with him and a couple of others if we have the guts to do it

This is the thing. Everton fans have told me that Moyes was actually quite reluctant to play the youngsters. Hopefully this doesn't happen with us.

It's true,Moyes is too scared to risk using youngsters.Coleman is the only player who has really been given a chance.
