deal. Players all over the park that can control the ball, pick a pass with pace. A goalscorer that does not need 10 chances to score a goal. The old guard are gradually being purged, and with AVB finally shaping his team brilliantly. Some excellent buys this summer, coupled with some of the younger players coming through is really making the team look formidable.
The new buys seems to have settled in really quickly, and even what I think we all considered a first pick if fit, Sandro, will have to fight to get back in the team, although I am sure he will when fully fit.
I`m a very happy bunny looking at the current squad.

I'm surprised at how well the players gelled tonight. I wasn't expecting them to look as good as this so early on.
I'm assuming they're going to get better through the season and that's an exciting prospect.
I'm as happy as a Spurs fan can be at the moment

Not getting excited, but with nearly 60 years of following Spurs, I usually have a good idea when I see a decent Spurs team.
The one thing about tonight`s performance was the ability to not keep getting caught on the ball as previous seasons, and the passing was up a notch on even last season. Some real quality has been added to the team with Paulinho, Soldado, Capoue and Chadli.
