They may not be brilliant, but they were their own countries champions, and Spurs absolutely spanked them at a canter. Cannot do any more than beat what is put in front of you. Spurs would have drawn or lost that game last season.

The team as a whole looked incredibly strong tonight, Paulinho looks an absolute bargain.

I'm surprised at how well the players gelled tonight. I wasn't expecting them to look as good as this so early on.
I'm assuming they're going to get better through the season and that's an exciting prospect.
I'm as happy as a Spurs fan can be at the moment

Not getting excited, but with nearly 60 years of following Spurs, I usually have a good idea when I see a decent Spurs team.

The one thing about tonight`s performance was the ability to not keep getting caught on the ball as previous seasons, and the passing was up a notch on even last season. Some real quality has been added to the team with Paulinho, Soldado, Capoue and Chadli.
