Part of me doesn't want Sneijder

Part of me doesn't want Sneijder. World class player and would be a joy to watch, but I think we're more than strong enough to compete on all fronts for trophies. Our 2nd team is the strongest in world, so we have tobe massive favourites for the League Cup. We're clear favourites of the PL and rightly so. If we get off to a good start and Fergie bloods the youngesters properly, as only he can, we'll have far and away the most strength in depth. Our first 11 and bench i'd back against any one but Barca. All in all, although if we signed him i'd be over the moon, I don't think he'll be the difference between us losing to Barca and beating them. Individuals don't win against this Barcalona, just ask Real Madrid. And in the end, isn't that why everyone wants us to get him? To help beat Barca?

For my money, stick to our roots and give the boys Cleverley and Anderson to step up in Scholes absence. Fergie gave youth a chance once before and it gave us the greatest team British football has ever seen.

This was on goal.com and many other websites already, therefore SSN are just keeping up with them? But does it signify any reliability..

Don't care, Sneijder actually said this ! Seen the interview had it translated

yeah i know he said this but why is there nothing from the united end even small hints such as the ones he has given?

Utd do not talk about transfers, never have always deny things even denied De Gea !!

Utd simply do not discuss transfers in public, you'd know this if you were utd fan surely

Im not trying to have an argument with you, and yes i do know that they do not openly discuss transfers, but do they always rule transfers out completely? I dont think so, more often than not you hear about the transfer from the united end when it is literally going through. Ferguson has ruled it out a number of times, im hoping it is a smokescreen! As i also remember that when the transfers are going through for us there is hardly this much media speculation so this maybe forcing him to give inadequate/ negative answers. We shall see..

Ok so why has Fergie not done his usual picture with new signings ???

He does this every season when we are done in Market.

It's cos we are NOT finished yet.

Fergie said other day he is always looking to improve squad. It depends who asks questions he's funny with the media.

He plays them for fools !!

Seems to me some people are trying to be ultra negative so they aren't disappointed, but you don't need be cos he'll be utd player

______________

No it isn't. Ridiculous thing to say.

People want Sneijder because they are not convinced that Cleverley can replace Scholes, Hargreaves and Gibson. Some of us felt we needed a CM or two long before we lost Scholes.

Beating Barca is not the reason to strengthen. Playing Barca just highlighted the issue the most because they have such a strong team. But then so did the thrashing by West Ham when Ando and Fletch were torn apart by WH's youth team midfield.

Perhaps Sneijder would help us to beat West Ham?
