Wow, the press really do hate us!

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/championship/10265747/Watford-1-Nottingham-Forest-1-match-report.html

Have a look at this match report it is absolutely ridiculous, it mearswell have been written by a derby fan!!

The press really do have it in for us now, as all of their sources have been taken away. I'm not surprised though, you should see John Percy's Twitter (who coincidently also works for the telegraph) and all he has been doing for years is spiting at Forest and BD and then when the club refuse access to him he is in shock playing his proverbial violin saying it is a disgrace that they are treating him that way.

They then say is it sickening that the fans aren't allowed an insight into the club, yet as a fan myself I would say this is the most open and honest the club have been since I have been supporting the club. Even though we do not get post match interviews, we get direct links to the manager and the owners who answer questions posed to them by the people who really matter i.e the fans.

I have long been saying that the press have had an agenda against us, as we all know they pick a team they want to win each year (i.e this year QPR) and will slag off the rest, but then when one club stands up for itself and says no, they are in complete and utter shock and can't stand it!

It doesn't take a genius to figure out why this happens and to be truthful I think it heralds with the press all the way back to the Clough interview with John Motson!

Oh well us against the world!

You Reds!!!

Thought's?

"We do not need the NEP. Sky did an interview with Reid straight after the game. Ned Kelly also did an interview."

Not everyone has Sky though, and the sort of person that relies on newspapers for news are probably the older fans who might not want more channels and more complicated TV. Not to mention, a newspaper is 50p (?), how much is Sky?

Third,
The idea that the club is not talking to the fans is also a complete farce, perpetuated by the press.

________

Fully agree on this one. I've never known the club being as open and communicative as it has done over the last year or so. Just because the communication is bypassing the media means they're all getting a mard on! And Derby fans are becoming a joke constantly coming up with new reasons to have a dig. Last year it was the loans, this year it's the fact we're spending too much. They are jealous of us, pure and simple.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who spotted something a little bit iffy with the Telegraphs match summary. I'm not sure about an anti Forest or East Midlands agenda, but there's definitely a reaction to the press ban. He was unfair to say the least, considering we generally outplayed Watford for large parts of the contest, and certainly created the most clear cut chances. We looked pretty solid at the back, but fluid and fast flowing up front, and it certainly wasn't a case of beauty and the beast, as the Telegraph depicted our contrasting styles. In fact, I don't think the styles we played were particularly contrasting and the journalist at the Daily Telegraph's description of our performance was pretty crude. I had to read it twice when the journo actually called man of the match Andy Reid a 'chunky monkey', and chose to address his weight rather than his sublime performance.

I'm personally going to read everything written about Forest, as most of you will too, because of our vested interest. Sure we aren't going to like some of it and that's what forums like this are for. Surely the best way to avoid crap like this being written is to boycott certain sections of the press? .....oh wait.

FAF .. those interviews are on the web.

And I would consider myself as one of the older supporters of Forest and haven't bought a newspaper for years.

I really do not see the point in the club giving access to the NEP if they continue to make things up, continue to write articles that do not have the correct information (eg: spelling surnames of players wrong, reporting wrong information about scorers in games played in theClough era) I could go on but that paper, which I view online, is poor

Everything I've read in the NEP recently has been really positive - what negative stuff have them supposedly said (prior to the blackout, I mean)?

"I think the comment by 'Quest of the Blatant Beast' at the bottom of the article sums it up."

I thank you.
