Lukaku is way too good a player to be down the pecking order of a team and not be playing regularly.
With Torres and Ba seemingly ahead of him and Chelsea's efforts to purchase a world class striker, they surely should send him out on loan? He is only 20 years old and needs to be playing. You can see from last season what a success a season out on loan to a good club where you get regular football can be. If they secure the signing of a high quality striker and don't send him out on loan before the end of the window then they had made a major, major mistake IMO.

When Torres is getting ahead of a young, in form striker who scored 17 goals on loan for West Brom last season, then I consider that wasting.
His chances of getting into the first 11 for the rest of the season are going to decrease if Chelsea sign a striker that they are so desperate for.
And if Schurrle, not a striker, starts ahead of you, then you're being wasted as well.

Lukaku will likely come on later. I think Jose prefers to use him as a sub for now. Schurrle starting is more of an indictment on Torres and Ba, two experienced PL CFs (that should be) in their prime.

Lukaku will never make the breakthrough at Chelsea.
He is already good enough, but won't get the chances.
Mourinho is not interested in bringing young players through.

Not good enough yet. Glad he isn't starting. Too much pressure in this big game for him to handle he is not playing an meaningless end of season game here.
