No the question is not rhetorical! I genuinely have no idea about either player to be honest. I'm not entirely sure the masses of delirious spurs fans do either, they're just happy we've signed someone who appears to be expensive for his age... so he must be good. Does anyone have any info about either player? Does anyone keep up with Serie A or the Dutch League? Just how good are they? My biggest question is Eriksen. Lamela was expensive so that could have put a lot of big clubs off but Eriksen is out of contract in a year and is available for just 12 million euros. Surely one of the global big boys would have made a play at that price, especially when you consider the huge widening gap in Man Utd's midield. Obviously, he hasn't signed yet so Overmars could have put that out there to alert others to start a bidding war but surely he can't be THAT good. Is there anyone in the Premier League you would compare these two to?
By the way, don't get me wrong, i'm ecstatic we're signing players like this but it feels a little bit like those kind of fans that want their team to sign players who's surname ends in 'inho' or 'ario' just because it sounds vaguely Brazilian and therefore skillful.
Enlighten me!!!
How good are Lamela and Eriksen?

There are actually five stages of grief:
1. Denial
2. Anger
3. Bargaining
4. Depression
5. Acceptance
Not everyone will experience all five stages. It is also common to experience them "out of order". Someone might experience Bargaining first, then Denial, then Depression, then Anger and then Acceptance.
And then there's RGK who's just plain delusional

Perhaps that is why I have never grieved. I do not suffer from any of those.

Harry's accountant is very happy with all these signings, let's hope Danny's accountant feels the same way.

First post, supporting spurs since 1981 when i was all of 6 years old and my Father used to take me....seriously had to sign up and comment because If we pull these deals off then without a doubt the best squad I have seen at WHL. Very very exciting times

Very AVB, just back in London after 3 years in Italy for work between Milan and Rome. Lucky enough to be taken to a few Roma games by Italian colleagues, this guy Lamela is seriously good, though obviously not a speck on Nico Claesen
