There is one thing I have not heard anyone say about the riots, except at work.
It is that we are one year from the London Olympics. Would you want to come here after seeing this happen? I think it will not only cost the millions it has already cost us as a country but we will probably lose millions more next year in lost tourism.
I think its time to bring in the army with rubber bullets to make sure they can disperse the crowds. No law abiding citizens will want to hang around
The real cost of the riots

Of course. London already has a bad enough reputation as it is let alone what's happened now.
Not only will tourism here go down but now also UK in general.
You are safer in Afghanistan or Iraq than you are herem says it all.

Just add a few bars of Imperial Leather to those water cannons Lady.
The very threat of a bit of cleanliness will send the rotters scurrying back to the sewers.

Lots of politicians are all saying that bringing in the army, water cannons, baton rounds etc could work but would be a sign that they've lost control as no government has had to do it before.
So basically they'd rather see London burn than potentially embarass themselves by being the first to do something.
