i hope the police pass out pictures and details to football clubs to people who have been charged in connection to these riots and get these freaks banished from football grounds for life
going back to your point - it wont stop people coming here for the olympics. China wasnt affected when they hosted it and look at their human rights record
It sounds like it's mostly kids. Parents clearly need to sort them out
apparantly some of the parents were looting the shops and handing it to their kids to take back home

SoG, That was different, the Chinese human rights were partly to clean up the streets in their own way and to makle it more presentable. The visitors were never put at risk by it.
In this case people will be worried about their personal safety so might not come.
I say the police should follow them all home and arrest each one and then have them hung

even the kids?
I am Gooner
If our Police were allowed tear gas, pepper spray & water cannons (like i've seen on England away games) these mindless idiots would be too cowardly to stick around.
They're all tough facing 1 pane of glass, whilst holding a brick, standing with about 100 others, get this type of officiating on them & they'll go crying home to Mummy.
Trust me.

I was referring to the kids
Not all of them, just the ones who were taking part
Just to reiterate the point i made before about tear gas etc, i dont think this should be the standard issue for police forces but in riot circumstances, this should be allowed 100%!
Its not like innocent people are going to get caught up in it, like at away footy matches. This lot are all setting out to get involved in criminal activity - none of them are just there by accident. If they are, then they're stupid because its clear to see what is going on, as such would deserve full treatment too.
Anyway, my building is closing now so i've got to log off & lose my OT.
I am one angry Chicken today.
Of course. London already has a bad enough reputation as it is let alone what's happened now.
Not only will tourism here go down but now also UK in general.
You are safer in Afghanistan or Iraq than you are herem says it all.
Water cannons work here in N.Ireland
Just add a few bars of Imperial Leather to those water cannons Lady.
The very threat of a bit of cleanliness will send the rotters scurrying back to the sewers.
we have no water cannons on the mainland, only in northern ireland.
i drove through ealing this morning and the skum had even looted poundland !!
Good idea
Scare Them With Soap - That can be the new police slogan
"i drove through ealing this morning and the skum had even looted poundland !!"
FFS.
hearing rumours of possible looting in edgware but haven't seen or heard anything yet!
Lots of politicians are all saying that bringing in the army, water cannons, baton rounds etc could work but would be a sign that they've lost control as no government has had to do it before.
So basically they'd rather see London burn than potentially embarass themselves by being the first to do something.
I though England deserved to host the World cup. But having seen this...
Thank goodness you've never anything as bad as this in Serbia eh?
