No point buying squad players.

V, I agree. Your squad really needs strengthening. And of course you can get players that will improve you. I personally don't think you will be able to close the gap.

But you do have a good team. And there's room for improvement within the team. Wenger can only build this team rather than buying loads of players to get you up there again.

Yeah we definitely aren't in the position of Man City where we can just go buy a premier league winning team.

And sadly I agree we won't be competing for the title this year. But if we can add a few quality players over this and the next couple of years and the squad keeps improving at its current rate I think we'll be right back up there

To be honest I've written off Wenger too many times. Given a bit of money I reckon he can still build a quality team. Even though he's lost his magic.

Signings may not give us a genuine title challenge straight away but they'll certainly get us closer.

I think first we need to secure top 4 fairly easily instead of having an increasingly difficult to job to stay in which we could still do with the right signings this season. From there we can build a title a challenging squad
