Complete lack of faith in our midfield...

It's definitely not my intention to jump on the band wagon of negativity but that is probably the most negative, unpassionate and uninspiring performance in years! There where so many negatives its hard to know where to start...

I'd like to start by saying that I do like the appointment of Moyes, mainly because he has gone out from the off and stated why Fergie failed to see for so long... We are obviously lacking in midfield.

Now on the evidence of today's game how many back passes? How many Hollywood balls up to a single striker? Too me it appears a complete lack of faith in our current midfield ability.

Let me explain... If we had class in our ranks, we would be able to play through the middle, have the faith in whatever individual to to hold the ball, retain possession, pass and move or dare I say it beat a man!!!

We simply do not possess anyone who can do that! We do not play through the team, we seem to bypass the middle lumping ball after f@@king ball from defence. I understand that RVP was frustrated... If I were him I'd be furious! He fed off absolute scraps all day! Not one spark can through the middle and even less from the wings!

Yes you could argue we missed Rooney and I'm sure if he was playing today it would have been different but Welbeck is not the answer.

I was pleased to see Nani and Hernandez on for the last 15 mins but not at the expense of Young who was our rare threat going forward but Giggs who was shocking throughout!

Now everyone will be saying retire etc etc but he is a good squad player, but he should DEFINITELY not be starting any games from now on! Especially against anyone in the top half of the table!

All in all I'm so disappointed its untrue! The only silver lining is that at least we have a day to buy some actual quality in the middle of the park!

Sorry for the rant but as you would all no doubt agree... Its not just square pegs in round holes... It's low quality square pegs at that!!!
