At the risk of sounding like a spoilt brat

I'm going to confess that even if we now signed Fellaini and Herrera, I would be devastated to miss out on Ozil. I don't know who watches Real play regularly, but for those who do, you know as well as I that he would arguably be the best player in the premier league. He is a phenomenal talent and for all the talk of him not being specifically what we need, when suh a player becomes available, you do not let him pass. Were messi available, would we argue there is no point signing him because we have RVP? Those who suggest as much need to stop arguing for arguments sake as it is laughably idiotic to do so.

On a separate note, and again I do not mean to sound spoilt, but we used tobreak british transfer records. We consistenly pull in considerably higher revenue than any british club could hope to and yet we have never bid over 30million for anyone whilst city, chelsea, arsenal and even spurs have at least matched or shattered that. I'm all for bargains; I wanted to sign thiago more than Cesc and he was available for around 20million. We are now likely to get fellaini for more than that. We are all ardent and passionate football fans and I'm sure many will agree with me when I say I feel almost devastated just typing out such ludicrous occurences.

Rooney asks to leave - false and press garbage, even though Fergie made this clear and it has not been denied.

Rooney never asks to leave - no evidence presented whatsoever, but it is true.

I swear you guys are Rooney fans before Utd fans.

Shame because you are decent posters and are loyal to a prck who doesn't give two fecks about you or the club you support

Always said the same Macca, I've never believed it. If only you could pm on this site, i'm intrigued

Melts

A mate of mine knows both Rooney and Stretford

He's actually at Rooney's today sorting his BT sport and ESPN for him

Rooney told him weeks ago he was going nowhere and never wanted to

Stretford told him that even if Roo wanted out,(which he doesn't) and United wanted to sell, (which they don't), it would have taken an utterly insane bid to get him. Chelsea were literally miles from the figure. It was never ever going to happen mate

Cue the idiots calling me a blatant liar which I assure you melts, I am not

Doesn't surprise me at all macca, I've always believed the same as you.

I wouldn't care what other people say about it , its one of the perils of an anonymous football forum unfortunately, people seem to be naturally cynical. I believe you mate

Melts

I was chatting with him last night and he was telling me about 2010 too.

Stretford and Fergie used to get along reasonable until Stretford touted Rooney to City at the time and Fergie hasn't spoken to Stretford since

One of Fergie's main problems with Roo is not necessarily that he didn;t forgive Roo for 2010, it's because he will never forgive Stretford and he is still Rooney's agent despite Fergie literally detesting the man

Roo told my mate that he wasn't happy about being dropped for the Madrid game(something Fergie said he was totally ok with at the time) and fergie told him that if he didn't like it, then tough, put in a transfer request

There you go melts. If it wasn't you who had asked, I wouldn't have even mentioned it

Thank you mate, the sole reason I joined a multi club forum was to have a decent debate with other football fans without the need to point score or wum, I've got no time for those sorts of things. You in particular, it's been great talking to over the last couple of years

I seem to remember at the time Ferguson being very critical of Stretford, I wasn't convinced even in 2010 Rooney was entirely sure what was going on! No chance of him getting a different agent though?

Melton

Is there any truth to the rumours that I am your favourite United poster?

Doubt it mate but would probably solve a few issues

Strange you mentioned that Roo didn't know what Stretford was doing because he did say something along the same lines last night but can;t remember the exact wording of it

I'll tell you what Robb, you certainly aren't my least favourite

I just got that feeling at the time Macca, Rooney looked like a rabbit in the headlights and part of me thought it was Stretford seeing pound signs. At the time we had Cook and Stretford would have earned a lot of money had he moved. I just thought he was serving his own interests perhaps a bit more than Rooneys...
