Wenger still the right man

Arsene Wenger is still the right man to manage our club. The stadium has restricted us the past 8 years and now the great man has money to spend he has shown the world what he can do with it. Mesut Ozil is by far and away the signing of the summer. Our legendary manager has earned the right to a new contract. I personally want the board to offer him a new 4 year contract till 2018. The Ozil signing shows the calibre of players Wenger can attract now we have money to spend.

It is laughable that some of our pathetic fans wanted the likes of Laudrop. There is no better manager out there and I believe Wenger is the best manager in the world and the greatest in history. He will prove it by the time he retires at Arsenal. Also I want to add a section of our disgraceful fans dont deserve the joy of Ozil and future success of our club when we start winning trophies again. They can go to hell, I am not talking about fans who have occassionally lost it with Wenger and abused him in the heat of the moment. I am talking about a bunch of psychos who have for over 6 months called Wenger degotary names such as "c unt" on a daily basis and are a embarrassment to our club. These lot need to be sectioned and where is your protests that you lot promised you cowards are not man enough to do it. You lot can fack off and support spurs.

Also bar the Suarez saga which our negotiating team messed up we were very unlucky in getting our targets such as Higuain, Rooney, Gustavo etc. I believe Ozil is the start of something special at Arsenal and many other special players will follow him to the club. We no longer have to sell our best players as with our new deals we can compete at the top for the best players in the world. Also loving the jealousy of other clubs who cant take it we got Ozil. Spurs fans in particular who try to deluded themselves that their overrated signings are superb players. I wonder what your excuse will be when you finish fifth again barring Moyes being a complete disaster at United. If we can somehow keep in touch with the leaders in the league till January, we can win the title if we bring another world class player in and improve our squad. I think other fans are underestimating the influence Ozil will have.

The future is bright, the future is Arsenal.

Anybody with so much as an ounce of football knowledge around the world consider AW as a genius. In 2010 he was voted manager of the decade, even though he hadn't won a trophy for 5years at that point.

Even rival fans consider him to be s(h)it-hot, regardless of the banter. (How many times have the whiney young Arsenal fans been told that the grass isn't greener when they were calling for his head??)

Since the Kroenke takeover, he is the reason Arsenal have kept their head above the water, despite the financial obstacles the board have put in our path.

Why not wait and see how we play when inserting Ozil in, wait till the January transfer window, wait till the whole year performance, and the next summer transfer window and then decide?
Just one Ozil transfer we are now the true contender, and the management is amazing again?
Wenger bought his time again, and let's see how things go. Let's enjoy the transfer at this moment and looking forward to a good season.

Wenger's ability to attract players is crucial, just listen to Özil's comments if you don't believe me. Very few other managers have that same aura for players, and virtually none of them would be realistic options should Wenger leave.

I've always been slightly on the fence with Wenger, as his stubbornness and limitations have definitely cost us over the last few years, but he's also overseen a crucial change in this club without its stature dropping much in the eyes of players. The key factor for me is the lack of credible alternatives, which has also been the case for the last 18 months. For all his limitations, I don't think there's one manager we could get who would do a better job.

I agree totally, Wenger deserves another shot of the title and should build his team for the next couple of years playing amazing out if this world football. But OP, we have never even once bid for Gustavo or Higuain, just paper talk, I hope that clears the foggy media lies, all in all, we have to buy Suarez in January and we will storm the league, Chelsea's Morinho are just too negative and would end up drawing 12 games and United are stagnating while Pellegrini is untasted in PL.

I must admit, I was questioning Wenger a lot after the Villa debacle. His stubbornness and loyalty to the players at times does grind my gears, but I think with the statemnet he's made after the Ozil signing he definitely deserves a new contract.

Let's not forget we are still expected to finish 4th (3rd at a push), Ozil won't make that big a difference on the pitch. But some good cup runs and improvements in the quality of our game will be enough for m this season.

Next season, if Wenger does sign up, then I'd expect a SERIOUS title challenge.

This transfer window wasn't perfect, there's no excuses for not buying a striker, but the Ozil signing has distracted from that. There's a feel-good factor around the Arsenal fans now, and we are actually looking forward to the season ahead (for the first time in God knows how long).

Wengers tactics are still in question and thats another reason why he should go on top of lack of signings in vital areas.

People are being blinded by this Ozil signing into thinking Wenger has actually done well this window, He hasnt.

Although I agree with the OP's sentiments and tirade agianst the WOBs it is a bit premature to be throwing new contracts about.

The board love Wenger and have offered him anew contract already.

He will sign come what may, so all the WOBs are wasting their time.

Wenger will leave or stay it's up to him.
