Top of the group

We're top of the group with 16 points with two games to go. Too tight in the group with Ukraine and Montenegro both on 15 and Poland on 13. Think we will qualify. A closer look at the results shows that although we've won four games, all of them have come against the European heavyweights that are San Marino and Moldova which is quite worrying to say the least. Just want to know everyone's opinion on this and where we are going wrong!

If we do finish second I reckon we'll end up sneaking in as seeded by the skin of our teeth.

But saying that we could end up being drawn against France or Sweden if they qualify.

How can you be so sure about that when we've only beaten San Marino and Moldova in the group so far

This is true. We've drawn all of our games with Ukraine, Poland and Montenegro.

mm I wouldnt say that especially vs Poland, but I think we have enough to get us thro comfortably.

I think we will make utter ar5es of ourselves in the finals, but thats for another day.

I think we can still top the group. But our showing in the qualifiers doesn't convince me that it'll be comfortable.

We are really struggling to create anything against the better sides in this group.

If Capello was in charge we'd have qualified by now, he handled the 2010 WC badly put he knew how to navigate a group.

Hodgson has always seen a draw away from home as a good result, which is fine at Fulham but when you're the best team in the group you should be looking to pick up at least one win away in Montenegro, Ukraine or Poland, none of whom are particularly good sides.
