Agreed whiteside, looked very good. I can see young being phased out over this season, he hasn't produced it enough for you guys. Shame really as he seems to have all the assets, just doesn't apply them often enough!

England managers mostly pick players from top sides and there are only a limited number of English players playing in top clubs. If not, Cleverly, Young etc would have found it difficult to get a chance.

Would love to see Redmond get a chance, probably a bit soon though.

Would love to see a load of new players in the next friendly. No point playing Gerrard, Lampard etc in a friendly if England are trying to build a team for the future.

Surely that applies both ways. You can't say, leave one players history in the past but not the one you're comparing him to?

Young was actually our bet attacking player when he went off yesterday, most in the thread were in agreement.

Having said that, I don't think he is good enough for Utd, perhaps as back up.

Liverpool could in fact gain ground. But bear in mind after the game on Sunday you will have played villa Swansea stoke Southampton and United.

UNITED will have played Swansea Liverpool Chelsea Man city and crystal Palace. So bit early to get excited when United have played 2 of the big 4 already and an field away.
