"David Cameron, luckily, is not in charge of the Crown Prosecution Service or the Metropolitan Police, therefore these decisions are not his to make," he said."These comments are like saying that I actually condone anti-semitism or racism. It's no better than that, and it doesn't get any better just because you're the Prime Minister saying it."What we're concerned about is the impact on the victim and that is an offence under the Public Order Act 1986, whatever Mr Cameron thinks."So we really have to understand the fact that people in the Jewish community, not all of them, and certainly many people in the wider community black and white, have a real problem being on the receiving end of these comments.""Football is a part of society and not separate from it, so the Prime Minister has to really think what he is saying because he legitimises anti-semitism and that is a sad thing for any parliamentarian to do."You cannot have people breaking the criminal law on Saturday afternoon and saying it is okay because we have a badge of honour."
What a complete and utter waste of a hand shandy this guy is.
I'll get dog's abuse for saying this, but never mind.
He is the Chairman of the Society of Black Lawyers.
What kind of reaction do you think I would get if I set up an organisation called The Society of White British Tall Blonde Blue-eyed Male Young Able-bodied Non-ginger Lawyers? Disregarding my lack of legal expertise, I suspect it would not be well-received.
Keep your nose out, Herbert.
Rant complete.

"I have visions of Peter Herbert and other black lawyers ... learning dances now"
Don't think you'll find a better "whiner" than Herbert at the moment.

Well I am not racist I hate everybody equally
I dont really see much wrong with segregation when it comes to schools etc.
If schools are religiously based I see no problem with that either.
Racism is not about that its far more deep seated and if the racists had no blacks or jews to hate they would hate something else thats the way they are.
Having a school, club or team where everybody is black, white or jewish is ok people like to mix with their own and thats fine with me.
Maybe I am a bit liberal but as long as there is no hate involved towards another faction then I dont see a problem.
For some reason this guy feels the need to put himself in the spotlight and I dont think for one second that he really gives a crap one way or another about what is being chanted at WHL.

You can see how things have changed in London in just a generation because the kids all mix. They see colour much less than ever before.
When I was growing up it was far more split down the lines of colour, with distrust from both black and white to eachother. It took me a few years of adulthood to get that out of my system.
In places like NI, or Bradford, or Birmingham, it just gives parents an excuse to pass their hatred and prejudice down by segregating their kids from the 'other' ones.
On balance, groups such as Chronic's at Uni should be allowed because they allowed other races to join and they are a celebration of something rather than just a place you don't have to mingle with others.. Exclusive race/religion-only organisation are a slippery slope to something more sinister.

Such as the Association of Black Lawyers or the Association of Black Police Officers?

If they exclude other races, yes

i agree with HRH... the youth of today, and i include myself in that, dont really see colour as a borderline. i have freinds from all ethnic groups and i have never really even noticed it.
i suppose it depends where you grow up. i have spent all my life in fairly multicultural surroundings, unis, offices, schools, football teams etc etc , so its just normal to me.
that said, on the whole i think freindship groups tend to be people of all the same race, but the difference seems to be in the attitude towards people of other races. i think if someone is a good guy then they are just a good guy regardless of background.
like i say in uni, we had an afro caribbean society football team, and our best player was a white guy from holland.. and no one even questioned what he was doing playing for us.. we just accepted him and he loved playing with us
good vibes
