We've had the best start to a season for years, we are top of the league, playing great football, yet the gate last night was below 20,000 for the first time for as long as I can remember for a league match. Also there was absolutely no atmosphere during the game, WHY??

tickets are too expensive for those who don't have a season ticket

I didn't think the atmosphere was that bad actually, particularly since the Blackburn Rovers contingent was barely over 100. (One reason for the low attendance.)
Attendances were pretty low across the division though, and will do while prices remain so high across the division.

It was good to hear Luke Moore's song coming from different areas of the ground last night. At one point, there were three different versions of it being sung slightly out of time, and as one finished, the next one finished and then the last one.
Reminded me a bit of singing Frere Jacques when we were at school!

If I wasn't a STH and/or couldn't afford many games I wouldn't be too eager to fork out £29 (in the kop) for a Tuesday night game against Blackburn

Liam Moore Fox_14...
I don't think we had many more on the Saturday against one of the top sides in the division? Maybe only 2000 more at most? And most of those would have been Wigan.
Decent atmosphere last night - primarily because we got riled up about poor refereeing decisions! Can't remember the last game when we had a decent refereeing performance!
Ah, well bring on Blackpool and lets hope the pitch holds up!

Liam Moore, of course it is!
Had a mental block with the youth that played for Villa.

Two home games in four days is costly. Leicester has been hit hard by the recession. The support is there but the money isn't. Sad but true.

I'm starting to get a little irked at the constant insinuations that there is an issue with Leicester City fans and their overall level of support of the club.
We're consistently one of the highest supported clubs in this division and on Tuesday had the second highest attendance in the Championship. Our fans have had to put up with a lot of mediocre dross over the last ten years and the fact we still consistently get over 20k is an example of what a fantastic fanbase we actually have. As for the level of atmosphere, it's fine, there really is no issue. Leicester fans are a bit more refined then other clubs', hence why there isn't the constant happy clapping and chanting. I'd rather have this than the homophobic, xenophobic, racist chanting some other teams get (and I've also heard all three of these at City before, an actual issue we could do with addressing).
As I say, I'm getting a bit annoyed with those journalists and certain 'personalities' on Twitter who seem hellbent on causing division by pretending there is an issue with the fanbase. A big percentage turn up for matches, and those of us who cannot go when ever we want to are still their in heart and soul.

we have played 4 home games now and the most we have had is 22725 for the leeds game.why the people running the club dont come up with incentives to up the gates i dont know .we have 10000 empty seats at the momment.why the people running the club dont come up with incentives i dont know. heres a few 1 lower the senior age back to 60.a lot of people out there retired but not getting state pension. 2 special deals for students like my nephnew did when we were at filbert st.he is a chelsea fan but loved the offer as did 3 of his mates. 3 if someone is on the dole or on benifets and they can proove it give them a discount. at least the ground will have a better atmosphere than 10000 empty seats.
