2 main issues that are being debated ...

on Chelsea board this season so far is our lack of a prolific goal scoring forward and what to do with Mata as Oscar seems to have nailed the no10 slot.

Jose in his recent interview stated that he wants us to move on from the high diagonal crossing game and play on the deck around the opposition defensive line.

Would Mata not fit the criteria of a ball playing goal scorer?

His 32 goals from midfield over the last 2 seasons would indicate he has an eye for goal.

His lack of a pressing game wouldn't be such an issue and a front 4 of Oscar and Mata central with Willian/Schurrle and Hazard/KDB out wide, would imo open up any defence.

Not gonna happen but I'd like to see it.

I know its just if we are debating the biggest issues at the club. Than I think Ramires is, our strikers are an issue but at least the management recognises this is a problem.

With Ramires they dont he is the first name on the team sheet.

Also our transfer policy this summer was foolish we spent nearly £50m on Willian and Schurrle two players we didn't need. Then loaned out Moses as we couldn't accommodate.

In CM and strikers we spent £8m, two positions we have been lacking in for years now.

Oh yeh and then we loaned out Lukaku again.

We will probably see tonight if Essiens legs are up to it. But I'm more concerned with not using a player of Matas quality.

I think our main issue is Ramires and the worst thing is that he has nailed the CM position. I would honestly rather we give Essien a shot again because the amount of times I see Ramires lose the ball and pass it to the other teams player is getting beyond a joke.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

he loses the ball no more than lampard, luiz hazard etc.

Ramires is a key player becuase he is the only player in the CM who can start a quick counter attack yes he may lose the ball sometimes but he loses it trying to start an attack i haven't seen him cost us a goal yet.

we sorely missed him against basel

and Im sorry but the prospect of playing 2 of lampard, essien, mikel in that CM is horrible. none of them can run or have the ability to move the ball quickly.

I Reiterate what i have been saying that i am glad none of the ramires haters are prem managers. becuase the fact that tactically you would prefer a crocked essien and lampard over Rami is completly mental.

I suggest you watch Ramires closley and not just focus on the his bad things he does but focus on the good.

I guarantee you his pros way outweigh his cons

I do and his passing is pi$$ poor the last few games I have seen him pass more to the opposition than our own team. He is a willing runner that's what covers up his deficiencies, he is our Cleverly only Cleverly has better passing range.

I would rather he upped his passing game as I know it is in his abilities but its has been going on for so long.

Essien is finished but I do understand people's reservations about Ramires(especially in a midfield two)...
