EA vs Rockstar

Rockstar have been developing GTA V for years and have produced a fantastic game here, I stroll down to the shops to find out it costs me only £38.
Well done Rockstar!

EA were developing FIFA 14 for around 2 months I reckon, couple of graphics tweaks here and there, delete this bit of code, add that bit of code, change the refs slightly, update the team rosters, change the menus and BAM call it FIFA 14 and charge people £44 for it.
EA you bunch of conning, stealing, thieving bunch of tos sers! You will not be receiving my money.

I agree EA milk the sht out of every franchise they have (don't they have annual games for like every sport going?).

I did enjoy Kingdoms of Amalur though, it's basically the only EA game I've had since like FIFA 2004 or something.

Bethesda and Rockstar are definitely my favourite game devs, Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Red Dead and GTA!

Wish they could team up and make a game together for the next gen consoles.

Welcome to capitalism my friend. Give people what they want and charge them shitloads to have it.

Let's also not forget the huge amounts EA make from people using real money to buy packs in FUT.

FIFA is a franchise that EA are only too happy to milk.

One thing EA have done right is allow Dice time and discretion to make the Battlefield games as good as they are now

But then there's that old EA sports saying...

"Yes our lawyers are daamn good. But you didn't get nothing, why, you boys got experience didn't ya'? You got a chance to play in the big leagues. Sure we here at EA might have made all the money, but you little workers had a chance to make something of yourselves. I'd give you some free video games but.. it's against the rules."

Brilliant.

That's why software 'piracy' is justified at times.
