So for those who are not down with the I.T crowd. There is an entity called the deep web. Originally birthed as a covert way for Governments to do their business, this cyber Narnia makes up 99.9% of the iceberg that is the inernet.
Due to its anonymous nature is home to all kinds of people from high level hackers, journalists in strict countries I.e Korea to Dealers in EVERYTHING and those who occupy the lowest rung of human existence (u kno whom I refer to here)
Anyway the EBay or Amazon of the deep web is known as silk row, which sells narcotics, hitmen and weapons...that's just the tame stuff. Well the owner of the site who thought he was too clever and too hidden to get captured .has been arrested. The FBI tracked him down ...yes tracked him down and busted him.
The ramifications of this are massive, as website owners who run these sick sites, in the security of a spaghetti networking system now know that NOTHING is untraceable. I'm a massive reader on cyber espionage and secrecy and know a lot about the goings on down in the deep, so to me this is huge news in the world of computer geekery.
Thoughts?

The closure of The Silk Road is a huge blow for drug users. The site, similar to ebay and amazon, used a reputation system to judge sellers.
To get good feedback and to encourage further sales, sellers had to provide quality, uncut (or close to), and on-weight narcotics. If they tried to mess people around, their reputation as a seller would suffer.
Now it has been seized, people must go back to chancing their arm buying from dealers on the street. The quality of the drugs is, generally, of a much lower quality and weight.
Silk Road effectively provided a sensible, honest and safe means of buying drugs. People are going to take drugs regardless, so the safer the better in my opinion.
Shame.

Admin,
All this deep web stuff is pretty new to me but I would like to read more on it, in particular the conspiracies. Where would you recommend I start?
Also what if an existing account started using TOR as I'm pretty sure I was on here when using it a while back.

Diggler, it is only really article creation from TOR that concerns us the most.
I'm not an expert on the deep web, would probably recommend you avoid it, given the content and the focus on it. You will see forums where folk talk about it. Often on body building forums, where people look for juice.

I have no interest in getting into it just reading about it. What forums?
How's the bodybuilding going? Been a long time from any activity in the weightlifting board.

I ruptured a tendon in my left hand about 8 weeks ago. Will probably start back on the weights next week.
