The Shaymen have done well so far this season I reckon, but I think we have to be realistic about this one, & take a defeat on the chin.
We aren't the 'finished product' away from home yet, & these guys have made their home a fortress thus far...(Just like the Shaymen have darn at the Shay)

by contrast, We can only muster 1 in 60 () despite a couple of years of success .

So with a 'metro area' pop of 255,000 & 203,000 in the actual Town...Halifax really are playing a 'big club' at this level.

6% others... again , taking into account Jimmy Grants haven't overly taken to regular football attendance..Their home gates are quite impressive.

In 2002 it was reputed to be the 'Dirty Town in Britain' The Daily Mail 'claimed Rats fed in Packs'...... And they wonder why people have stopped buying newspapers...
In 1988 they won the league Cup.
Their Carnival is claimed to be the biggest one day 'carnival' in Europe never heard of it mi-sen ?
And Luton airport is one of Britain's largest...more of a London overspill really...That opened in 1938 & was used by the R.A.F. in WWII.
Hat factories galore in the past, hence the nickname..'The Hatters'

also Vauxhall Motors, huge concern years ago..employing 30,000+ at the peak of production...& home of the Vauxhall 'Shovette' ..hence, with quality like that car production ceased in 2002.
The Town is still the headquarters for the Vauxhall Motors ..er ...Head office And they still make vans & commercials.

The Romans built a Fort/Town at near by Dunstable, but there were only scattered farms in what is now Luton at that time.
