Giroud isn't typical no 9

I have no idea what kind of striker our Giroud is but he isn't what we normally expect from a top CF. If you've noticed, he rarely scores individual type goals you associate with top CF. He can't dribble nor does he turn from his marker and create or score, the likes of Benzema are deadly around the box, but our Giroud has not shown an appetite for individual goals ala Henry or Drogba as examples. He doesn't have speed to stretch defense and is not known to play on the shoulder of defenders. He has improved ball retention and has used his strength but, sometimes he uses the flick too much and defenders can read exactly what is coming. He is also erratic with headers which is his speciality, so although he is very much vital to our style of play, we must buy that CF who is capable of turning one point into three in places like West Brom, like Anelka at his prime, or RVP of couple of season ago, or Henry, the ultimate Striker, pace, skills, dribble, power, speed, strength and vision of an eagle, Suarez comes close but my ideal CF is Falcao but, I don't see us getting him or his club selling him.

Giroud has a decent left foot, he should shoot more from distance. He's a good centre forward but our style doesn't suit his strenghts. We need someone like Rooney or Suarez who can play with him and replace him as well.

Giroud's got power in his shots. Not sure the accuracy is there though.

Henry 10 years ago would've been the perfect striker for this time. Closest thing to Henry is Balotelli IMO. He's calmed down in Italy and I think Wenger should try and bring him here.

Giroud is not Arsenal quality. If we sold him do you think the main teams in the EPL would go for him? In short he is chit. A small step above Chamakh.

Good looking bloke though

I totally agree. Balotelli would be a brilliant signing for Arsenal right now despite his bad-boy character. And I'm sure Wenger can manage him.

Balotelli is WC no doubt, but, his attitude and ego are legendary I doubt Wenger is crazy enough to overlook that side of his makeup, he is very talented no doubt and Wenger could turn him into Super Star, however, he comes with baggage and it ain't easy to just change character and he is very attached to Milan lifestyle, culture.

Giroud is a typical #9. Your definition of what a #9 should be are far from a typical #9.
