Realism

Did anyone really expect the period after Sir Alex retired to be smooth sailing?

How hard is it to just accept we're in a transitional period now? There will be plenty more results like this while Moyes gets to know his squad and gets the players he wants into the club.

This isn't going to be a week to month thing. We're talking years.

Sir Alex's last few years may have brought titles but the style of play was just as boring.

Do people REALLY expect perfect football in the first few weeks of Moyes being there? Really? If so you are very odd people.

robb getting back to todays game. What do you think moyes was at with the changes ?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Smalling came on to deal with the height that Lambert coming on brought, Giggs came on to help close out the game with his experience and Welbeck came on to have fresh legs when we broke as Saints would obviously be pushing for an equaliser and he actually did break but for a last ditch tackle from Schneiderlin which would have gone to Rooney.

The players deserve blame too.

I've never seen a post match day on here where the manager gets ALL the blame. It's quite worrying from a forum point of view as it just shows how silly some people are on here.

Agree with you regarding the players. The number of misplaced passes, mistimed tackles and times caught in posession today was shocking. Take welbeck for example did well to make the breaking run but inexplicably takes what seems an eternity to pass or shoot and gets tackled by their defender then in injury time loses the ball again on the edge of their box which led to a yellow for jones. Now welbeck was only on the pitch for the last 15 surely he has to be sharper than this whereas Rooney mirrored this type of play all day. Carrick was himself guilty of his share of misplaced passes and fellaini didnt get one clean tackle throughout the match.

BlaBla

See, that is exactly the kind of level headed critique of the game I can fully accept. It's the idiots who just grunt 'Moyes Out' who are the ones who really get my goat.

I like you robb but your views about moyes are naive and quite frankly ridiculous
